Thats where the altered rejuvenator comes in! Pearl and Peridot worked together for months to combine the technology that would create a duplicate gem with the last "Save File" before Stevens birth. So this is Rose reformed just as if she poofed when giving birth Roses information is still in Stevens gem. Change your mind * did * actually prove that, when a gem reforms they run through their previous forms as they reboot, which Pink Steven did. And while Steven and Rose are fundamentally different entities, Rose's old info is still present. Just inaccessible. And we know the basic rejuvenator erases that info but not entirely. gems that have been hit with it reform with out showing their old forms on start up and with no memory, * but * those memories are able to be recovered. So theoretically it would be possible to alter a rejuvenator to erase only a set amount of information, in this case Steven's file. Which would then allow the duplicate gem to default into it's last accessible "Save File" Which is Rose with all of her memories up until giving birth!

Absolutely not. I'm in the exact same boat. I made a video defending her not too long ago. Rose was never a villain, she did nothing wrong and was hurt by the diamonds like everyone else.

No, you’re not, it makes perfect sense! Pink was abused and neglected by the Diamonds so much and this reflects through her character. She tried to be the best she could, and people ignore that whenever they say that she’s the “true villain.” She didn’t have any role models she could look up to for support when trying to change for the better since the only “role models” she had threw and locked her in a dark tower for god knows how long whenever she made a mistake.

The spinel story is really tragic, cause as we can see from Pink Diamonds interactions with Pearl before they went to earth, she seemed to despise Pearls obedience. It’s possible that Pink viewed Spinels friendship as fake and artificial. It didn’t matter what they did; Spinel was made to be her best friend. She didn’t actually earn that friendship or anything. She never saw the friendship as real, and it was easy for her to leave and forget about it. A spinel was basically a toy in the opinions of the diamonds; because of Pinks status, no friendship she had was real. But unfortunately, while it wasn’t real for Pink, it was VERY real for Spinel, which shows us one of Pinks fatal flaws; she doesn’t understand consequences. Rose is really a fascinating character. I love her a lot

There's a clear difference between the Steven that asked Blue "How many times did you make her cry?" and the one who rolled his eyes and said that he'd expect her to abandon Spinel in the Garden. Steven's feelings towards Rose are muddled by what happened, but it feels more like he's just being an angry, insecure teen who was lashing out at the memory of Rose that had been propped up by Greg and the Gems. If he did meet Rose, even then, he'd feel like genuine shit for harboring so much hate towards her after seeing how sweet she is and how heartbroken that he felt that way. Steven's a good kid. He just had a lot on his plate a very unhealthy coping mechanism of avoiding his own issues and blaming his Mom for things.

And specially, how would she know how to raise a human child being a gem? Greg was there after all. and as much as i would like for her to come back (so perhaps yall wont constantly blame her for everything as she would have a chance to explain herself lmao) it would go against the whole message of steven being a person of his own and the sacrifice his mom made for his existence and bla bla blah.

Left behind Spinel, started a whole war which caused hundreds of thousands of gems to be corrupted, bubbled Bismuth and didn’t tell the other gems, and left behind the gems and everyone else while leaving Steven to fix her problems for her. But, none of it did she do with ill intention, at least I personally don’t think so. With Spinel, Pink/Rose wanted to move on and be a more mature version of herself since she knew she had to shape up in order to maintain the colony she had just been gifted. She knew Spinel could possibly hold her back from that. She couldn’t just tell Spinel she didn’t want to be her friend anymore either, since Spinel is specifically programmed to be a best friend. Some people’s arguments are that “she could’ve given her to one of the other Diamonds,” and I personally don’t think she could have. What would any of the other diamonds need her for? She was purely for entertainment, and they already had Pink at the time and the balls Pink would through too. They wouldn’t really need Spinel. The main reason they took in Spinel in the movie was because she used to belong to Pink and they miss her dearly. The whole reason the war started was because the Diamonds refused to listen to Pink’s original requests about her colony and not wanting to complete it because of all the life that was on it. Instead of listening to her wish, they took some of the land from Earth and a handful of humans and created the zoo. This didn’t satisfy Pink either. She had created her Rose Quartz persona (or more so, Pearl created it lol) in order to tour Earth and see all the beautiful life it had to offer. She didn’t want to get rid of this and as I said before, when the Diamonds didn’t fulfill her wish, there goes the rebellion. Pink saw all of the precious life on Earth and wanted to save it. The way she went about things weren’t the best, especially considering the consequences, but all of the events that happened ended up inevitably leading to Steven’s birth and eventually everyone being happy. Now, I wanna talk about Steven’s birth and Rose giving up her life to have him. In “Greg the Babysitter” (I think that was what the episode was called?) Rose went on a tangent about how gems burst out of the ground already knowing what they’re supposed to be, and that’s what they need to be for eternity. What she found so fascinating about humans was the fact that they were supposed and ALLOWED to change, they never stay the same even from moment to moment. She loved their ability to grow and change, but she herself knew she couldn’t do that as she was a gem. Though Steven did have to deal with the consequences of Rose’s actions which would circle right back around and bite him in the ass later, Rose I’m pretty sure didn’t want that to happen. Hell, how was she supposed to know it would happen? She wouldn’t even be around to witness it. But, since Rose knew she couldn’t actually change, she believed that having a human child would allow her to experience change and experience being able to grow. She was fine with getting rid of herself since she knew she would be giving the world something better. *Sort of a TL;DR: I’m sorry that this was long, I love this show so much and Pink/Rose is my favorite character since she’s not ONLY good or ONLY bad. It sort of shows that she’s “human” in a way, everyone isn’t all good or all bad. It’s not all black or all white. Everyone’s right in the middle of that spectrum and I love how the show showed that through Pink Diamond’s character.*

Okay okay okay, wonderfully put together interpretation and I *can* see how you arrived here, it's where most of the audience did, to an extent it's where the writers did. BUT, you, in my opinion, are wrong, the war is not and *cannot* be a point against Rose in any capacity, Rose's reason for not returning for Spinel are entirely unknown and assigning her intent to abandoning Spinel is short sighted.
