@@SamuelBlack84 I’ve never actually seen pre-2005 Doctor Who as full episodes. Only in clips here and there. Understandable, given I was born just a few years earlier and had zero access to anything capable of showing them. Man, what I’d give to see Tom Baker in all his original glory.

I like the 'lessons'

@@jsproductions8569 The lessons have become really heavy handed. Doctor Who has always had a message to it, but it's too much now. It seems to be in every episode and the dialogue is wooden. I watched "The End of the World" yesterday, the second episode with Rose in it where she sees the Earth die and they introduce The Face of Boe and Cassandra to the lore. It is so smartly written and Rose has this moment where she realizes she has no idea who The Doctor really is or what she is doing, how far from home she is. The current cast doesn't have those moments. There's very little development of characters and the dialogue is wooden. I wondered if I was just outgrowing Doctor Who, so I went back and watched episodes from early seasons and got sucked in right away. It was never about great special effects. It was about fun adventures and there's moments that are just so memorable. Even secondary characters who might only be in a single episode are memorable. Now, it's just really meh and it's lost me since Chibnall took over. I feel for Jodie since she is a great actress and she is a good Doctor, just at a time where the show isn't on the right track. It reminds me of Sylvester McCoy that way as he had the same issue. He was so good, but the show wasn't.

I think Billie Piper being a Doctor would actually be kinda cool and weird at the same time cause the Doctor had a thing for Rose and now he looks like her then lets say at some point they reunite that would be a very awkward situation lol.

In the Whoniverse, twists can be forever flexible and especially for regenerations as well as all know.
