A fascinating, if morally questionable, character played by a stunningly beautiful and very talented woman.

Why did i feel happy for her, everytime she got her revenge? Her as Cersei n Angela Bassett's as Tina Turner are probably the best female performances I've ever seen ...

Cercie would have been very different if Robert loved her with his heart
@lilyash9183 жыл бұрын
No, she was horrible before she even met Robert as we know from the books. Remember what Tyrion says in s2 that as a little girl she ordered guards to beat a servant girl age 9 so badly she lost an eye, because Cersei believed she stole from her.
@lilyash9183 жыл бұрын
@d bollman not exactly. Cersei never really bothered to have connections with other people and Jaime did in both books and the show. She makes attempts but its like Tyrion said she can't deal with people she can't beat or humiliate. In her mind making connections is "putting people in their places" Even Jaime says she's hateful even though he loves her. As arrogant as he can be sometimes he cares not just about himself and his interest in contrast to her. Cersei only cares about Jaime, because she sees Jaime as part of herself. There were characters in GOT that were in worse positions than her and didn't have a vile side at young age. While I like show Cersei, she shouldn't be seen as someone who was pushed to do horrible things, because she did many horrible stuff before even turning 10.
@lilyash9183 жыл бұрын
@d bollman its not about she only cared about herself, but the "she sees him as part of herself" and she has tons of needs no one wants to fulfill due to her behaviour other than Jaime in both show and books. She took risks for that relationship, but she had no other worthy option in her mind and Robert tended to only see what he wanted to see. "Trouble making friends" thats the thing she never makes friends because she doesn't intend to. She "makes subjects", she never is friend to anyone. In the books she drowned the girl that heard her prophecy even though she was a child then, it would match show Cersei too.
@lilyash9183 жыл бұрын
@d bollman no, most of us tend to see other through the filter we see the world or in relation to ourselves but thats not the only way of experiencing the world though its the easiest for us. Look up psychological mechanisms of a real narcissist and you'll see why even show Cersei only cares about Jaime and their children and why its Jaime and their children. What those people are to her and why she was vicious as a child in both books and show. Like I said I like show Cersei because of the way Lena Headey portrayed her and she's certainly more balanced and humane in the show. However it doesn't change she's not a true victim of her surroundings in both show and books. Yes, it made her worse but her brother was exposed to same father and yet he was not always violent to people nor full of hate. He also lost a mother with Tyrion's birth and he didn't make it about himself like Cersei.

@@lilyash918 Well, she was somewhat nice to Sansa and Qyburn and she did hesitate in killing Tyrion (at least show Cersei).

If only women were written this well in other shows, instead of the typical "Beat up 6'5 men" garbage.
@WildfireX9 ай бұрын
@@Vetnir-de4yv I pretty clearly said "beat up 6'5 men" garbage. Meaning that women are often protracted as beating the shit out of men way bigger than them & physically owning them. In no reality does that happen... Ronda rousey for example would get fuckin killed by most men that are 6'5 on the planet. I don't give a shit about you being beaten up by a woman because you're small as fuck, or pathetically weak. There are some Extreme circumstances where a woman might be able to fuck up a dude of equivalent size or even slightly bigger, but it's so extreme & the overwhelming majority of times a man of equivalent size will beat the shit out of women & it's not really a question. This is why whenever LAZY writers portray women as strong in this way, it's just fucking cringe garbage & pure laziness, because we all fucking know it's bullshit.
