This is a wasted opportunity . instead of burning down the stage ABC could have used the show to bring light to racism. The writers of the show could have written into the show a black family and had everyone commenting about a tweet a celebrity tweeted. The writers could have shown the viewers the pain the tweet caused the black family and how Rosanna's family on the show interacts with the family effected by the tweet. The arc of the story could be 5 to 6 shows. But noooooooooo the only thing to do is fire everyone!

I don't understand why ABC just doesn't do a spin off of Roseanne. When John Ritter died in the middle of season two of 8 Simple Rules, the rest of the ensemble did an excellent job holding the show together. True ABC would have to change the name, maybe to something like "Life without Rosie," or "Dan," but with John Goodman, and Laurie Metcalf leading the way, I think it be worth a shot.
