I really like the look of that knife the only thing in my opinion to improve it would be if it had brass liners, my preference, nice to see new knife manufactures making quality knives.

That's a fluted bolster. It's a very handsome knife too!

I'd love to see this knife with smooth covers and no shield like their barlow. The Rough Ryder Reserves follow the same formula of getting about 95% on point and adding 5% unnecessary bizarre crap. That said, It's great to see somebody trying to keep the traditional(-ish) patterns available.

The manufacturing is probably entirely CNC and other modern methods that make top notch fit and finish easier at a lower price point. Not taking any shots at it, it looks like a great knife for the price, but I suspect the GEC comparison isn't quite fair.
