It’s funny that SJP’s mannerism are very much reflected in how she portrays Carrie. Even the way she walked out onto the stage. And the way she talks with her hands is so Carrie. She’s so much more eloquent in real life than Carrie is but you can tell she really throws a lot of herself into the character she portrays.

OMG can you believe this !!! this is before we even knew what an amazing fantastic phenomenon Sex and the City was about to become and it would propel SJP into international super stardom !!!! ohhhh to go back to 1998!!! (I remember that first Sex and the City all all over Manhattan on subways and buses) I love when she said : they will have Saturday night to take a peek at the show and get hooked, we hope! Ohhhh Sarah We got so hooked on this show and some of us became hard core fans for life!!! I was lucky enough to have been on visiting friends in NY and met Sarah at Barneys when they were shooting the last 8 episodes of the series and I got a picture with her and it was my best Sex and the City memory (got one with Cynthia as well) Kirstin was in her trailer so I couldn't get one with her and Kim was in another part of Manhattan shooting other scenes!

I'm inclined to think it wasn't Hocus Pocus she was talking about since she said she was on her way to film "a wee little part" in Bette's new movie, so perhaps she was talking about First Wives Club...? Another classic showing it's roots here! :D

@@tristenevillanyibokor626 Hocus Pocus was released years before this interview. The movie was Isn't She Great, in which Bette Midler plays Jacqueline Susann. It filmed in Montreal around this time. However SJP isn't credited for the film anywhere so it's possible she never ended up doing it.

It’s so… quiet? I don’t know how to explain it. So focused on the guest, no weird antics or weird, uncomfortable questions. I was too young to really remember the 90s, but from a child’s eyes, it seemed so much more grounded than now. Also, as someone who grew up in the north east, I do kind of miss when New York was kind of the base for much of tv and movies lol. I feel like by the 2000s California became the center of everything.
