Very interesting place! Actually, I like seeing these kinds of properties (ones that need renovation) in the rain because if there are obvious water infiltration issues they are going to come out when it rains! So if its dry inside that's a selling point! :=8)

1 Euro? Yeah, you could do a lot with that property with under 100k to splurge and even 50k would make an enormous difference . Definitely not a ruin like you would expect. Without question you would want both properties and first thing I would replace is those windows. Is that a stage in the square for concerts?

Is this a city that allows the 7% tax? Also, would love to see one story homes for a retiree. Thank you again and a special thanks for posting the location. Really love the potential of the back yard/garden and the stage in the piazza, where I assume there would be occasional performances in the summer. Nice to have a balcony seat for those! I just saw your short video on this, and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to respond in the comments so I'm responding to the questions in that short video here. I tried to submit a proposal about 40 minutes after your long video uploaded but did not see a link or portal to access the required forms, only the guidelines. I did find the plans for the house. Also, do you know if any liens, back taxes, code violation fees, etc. will be posted by the Municipio? I'd like to know what would be my financial responsibility if I won this bid. Thanks!

These homes are amazing! We're doing a trip in October to look around for retirement. I can't find many "remodeling" videos... can you point us in the right direction? Like, if I spend 100K E for renovation, what could I expect? Are there lots of permits? Are contractors easy to find? Are materials readily available? Seems like the neighbors have infringed on the garden by putting their fence on this home's property, but I could be wrong. Looks as if the balcony is there for hanging out the wash.

More than likely it WAS one house in its past and could have been divided for two children of one of the early owners. It would be well worth buying both and combining both into one home. Lots of potential!

You're so funny in this vid---you liked so many little areas and the finestras of this house, I almost expected you to break and say, 'Forget it---we are buying this place. It's sold. Ecco...' I'm wondering: Many places were slowly left, then 'abandoned'--just not maintained, or orphaned, or became a tax liability... Are there any Italians instead of stranieri returning to adopt pieces of their heritage? I hope whoever is moving in learns Italian and to absorb what Italian offers, not just nabs a 'good deal' and 'colonizes' the place. The best part of living in Italy is living the Italian ways--even when it's 'domani, domani' or 'lentamente'. There's a little apprehension I feel that the Italian isn't disappeared.

Isnt there clauses for purchasing a 1€ property? Would cost 30 plus thousand to basic renovate and some make you complete renovation in 3 years. Some clauses is you can not use as a holiday home or rent out or sell, but can only use to live there fulltime. With Brexit and the lack of jobs, that would be very difficult to get a job and residency.. Easier to buy a property fully renovated and at market rate which you can do as you please with.
