Nice mention there @fleem5. For those who may not know Destrose was like a nuclear breeder reactor for metal bands. Look up their wikipedia page history for a veritable who's who of ladies who rock in Japan and got their start with Destrose.

​@@RosstaFloss Some additional infos: - Nemophila has done two Maximum the Hormone covers- worth of listening as all their covers, they've done a lot (western bands like Iron Maiden, ACDC etc, and japanese bands like Show Ya, Princess Princess, MUCC etc.pp); if you want to get an impression of the great variability of Nemophila's sounds and tunes, check out their older stuff (own songs) from the first half of 2020, too! They even recorded a beautiful ballad, a real gem ("Life"). - Hanabie started as a Maximum the Hormone cover band while attending High School; - in addition to Maximum the Hormone there is another hugely influential veteran band: Dir en grey; soundwise completely different to MtH, but very heavy, too; their musical styles have changed a lot over the times, they started as sort of a heavy (hardcore) visual kei punk band (???), emancipated themselves from the visual kei thing and developed their very distinctive theatrical, dramatical musical style, with shows resembling modern art performances. Like MtH they began in the 1990s, and so their repertoire is huge, as well as the massive loads of excellent audiovisual content you can find on YT. A good start is the very popular and wierding out song "Vinushka" which can be found in many different versions in YT.
