I like this new series. Very informative! Hopefully you get to cover a wide variety of plants. Too many times have I searched for information on a plant I want to buy, only to be left with sub-par forum posts.

Heya Jacob, my Rotala Wallichii are melting on the bottom. They are clustered together. The tops are doing well. Rich pinks and greens up top. Should I trim the tops and discard the bottoms in this case, or do you think it's indicative of a larger problem? Light is a Twinstar 600E, pressurized CO2 at 30 ppm, dosing 3 times a week with Flourish and Trace. pH: 6.8 GH: 6 Ammonia:0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: floats between 5-10 Other plants include Dwarf Hairgrass, Cryptocoryne Lutea, Alternanthera Reineki mini, Echinodorus Magdalenensis, and Echindorus Aflame. Everything else is established and healthy. Crypt Lutea especially is thriving magnificently.

Would a finnex planted plus 24/7 cc be low medium or high light over a 10 gallon?

Hey Jacob. I recently picked up this plant and I ran into an issue of hair algae on just them. It looks like the wallichi @4:22 in this video but a little worst. I’ve been having my lights on for 6 hours a day and DIY CO2 turned on 1 hour before lights on and 1 hour before lights go out. Just started to dose my tank with flourish as well. Planning on doing 3 times a week. Any advice?

Very nice video. You have talent for speaking for audience. I'm still struggling with this plant - 3rd approach. Currently changing HOB filter to canister cause I suspect that water flow is not good with HOB. Are you using Hydor filter? I've just ordered H250 unit:)

My LFS labeled them as R. Bossii and I couldn’t find any pics that looked similar. Turns out, it was R. Wallichii this whole time. I’m a beginner. With bad lighting. Who can’t afford certain stuff. Bruh.
