This is the final video for the rotary welding table build. In this video we will work on all the finishing touches and complete the assembly, including installing the polished oilers, and attaching the chrome plated Abom79 logo.
This has been a fun adventure for me, and I have really enjoyed having so many people interested in this project. It evolved quickly into not just what I had planned, but we incorporated help from many others with the design, materials, and labor. I want everyone to know just how much I appreciate your support! Thank You!!
Best Regards,
Adam

and in 1000 years, some machinist finds this thing in the back of a garage (in perfect working condition), and is entirely confused, having never heard of Abom brand Rotary Welding Tables, much less 79 models of them.

Just picture them trying to figure out the purpose of the thing m))) "Obviously, it must have been rotating at several hundred rpm, given the builder went to the trouble to install these elaborate oilers... the shop owner probably had a few adolescent apprentices take turns spinning it manually!"

Abom79 That thing turned out´to be massive. I had no idea lol. You might want to reevaluate those wheels though. Are they even specified for that kind of weight? Maybe you can redesign the base a bit when they fail. Some kind of foot pedal lift action that actually allows the base to touch the ground when it doesn't have to move. I'd also have some concerns about tipping it, but it's hard to tell where the actual center of gravity is since I haven't had the time yet to check every step of the build. Anyway, great craftsmanship. It looks lovely and I hope it will work just as well!

Adam, this is beyond offshore expectations. 300 years from now people are still enjoying welding with this table. Build forever! Adam, I like your style and your personality. I think you are a true person and a great guy. When I'm done with my work I relax and watch yours. After looking at your videos I only got one concern and that is your weight. Living the live just as I'm doing with the same result. I like to enjoy your videos past my retirement and I'm 12 years older. So maybe, as a distant fríend, maybe water instead of a soft drink for starters? I like watching your adventures as long as I live so don't be insulted. Warm greatings from Holland. Best regards, Job

There is a primary lesson for me out of watching this series, and that is one of patience. Not the patience required to sit through the entire series in just a few days, but the patience you exhibit when planning your approach and in doing the doing stuff. Patience that one can most readily apply to a personal project, rather than a customer one. But man, I would have been rushing through step and screwing up 1/2 the time. Also the ease in which guys deal with inches and fractions of, my gear is all set up in metric and 100th of a mm, is very different to dealing with thou's of an inch. I had my conversion micrometer out trying to follow some of your measures. So cool. Thanks for the lessons.

Thank you Adam for these great videos from your machine shop, I have been enjoying them a lot. Compared to many videos I follow on KZfaq I have to say that you stick out from the rest by showing your Bozo´s. These Bozo´s are actually how you (We) learn from your (our) mistakes and you are not afraid to show them to us followers even though you are professional in what you are doing. Congratulations to your finished welding table. It is awesome!!!. It has been very educational to watch this project. BR Jan from Sweden
