I am studying for my Emergency medicine Primary exams in Australia and you are a Fabulous teacher!! You make it so easy to understand the physics and biomechanics of anatomy (not just memorize and regurgitate at the exam). The use of animation is brilliant. Thank you so much, Dr. Morton!!!! 🤩🤩🤩

for someone with a shoulder dislocation, this is one of the best videos explaining rotator cuff muscles i've seen, thank you! curious if the deltoid muscles also has a similar "stabilize the GH join" function as that of the rotator cuff muscles?

I get from this the rotator cuff muscles are to stabilize the humerus in side the joint hole (hold it in the ball/socket whatever you want to call it) which is at first more important then building deltoid strength because you need the stability / not having the joint pop out of socket.

Wikipedia is doing also an amazing job, that we cannot overestimate... (I complete these videos with wiki) Schools must adapt to that fact and change their role accordingly.. Here we can set the rate of speed, and stop as often as needed, repeat... simply awesome

very through i get the distinction now between them. But how does one make exercise to target one from the other (i.e isolating one from the other). i imagine you have to work apart of one to work the other... But i always see rotator cuff exercise just with elbows bent vs delt exercises you do with straighter arms.

But why is elbows bend isolating one vs the other i say you have to work both but elbows bent implies a shorter lever arm so the weight is closer to your body. Still a little curious on if one can isolate each individual muscle or if you have to do more of it in groups front , rear, side delt exercises and rotator cuff exercise... i fail to see the distinction in what targets what at a more precise level. Like your video shows. ( i am using this video as purely for exercise sciences, sports biomechanics and fitness thats my aim.)

Hi Rami, i am not sure i understand your question. At 1:47 the teres minor muscle is covered, at 1:58 its action is covered and innervation is covered at 7:54. Will you please clarify?

Sorry my mistake! Didn't watch the video in one full sitting so overlooked it. Many thanks for your videos they really are so helpful, the way you bring in real human models makes it so much easier to really picture all the different actions! Top quality.
