This entire song is actually parts of Revelation read in Greek, the original language The Book of Revelation is written (minus the 'Γαια αγια' (Gaia Agia - Holy Earth) chorus). The song's name is 'ΧΞΣ' (chi-xi-sigma) which, at the time The Book of Revelation is written was how you wrote numbers. Sidenote: the Greek Parliament recently rejected the law that wanted to penalize blasphemy - that law was supported by the Greek Orthodox Church. So, Rotting Christ guys are safe for now...

@Lucas Lucas Lucas My bad, you're correct. The last letter of χξϛ' is stigma (a ligature of sigma and tau), which represents the number 6 (chi = 600, xi = 60, stigma = 6). However, in modern Greek, according to Wikipedia, stigma is a different form of sigma, being the only letter in modern Greek alphabet that have two small-letter forms ('σ' and 'ς') and one capital letter form ('Σ'). Also, being that the Book of Revelation is written in the 1st century AD, the letter representing number 6 was probably digamma which was later removed from the Greek alphabet. Digamma (capital) looked like Latin F or stylized C, and small digamma looked like elongated stylized capital letter G.

You are wrong both of you. ΧΞΣ= Χριστός Ξανά Σταυρώνεται. Christ Again Crucified. I m greek!😅. The letters Σ, σ, ς, are: the Σ is the capital of sigma (Σ, σ). The σ is the minor of sigma, like S, s in English. The ς, called sigma teliko, finishing sigma. It used at the end of the words. Ex: Άγγελος , Angelos, Angel.

Δίγαμα, Digama, by the word: double gama (δύο γάμα - two gama), is correct that at start was the F. Now is the Γ. At english this not exist. The G at Greek have three options: γκ, γγ gou (like guerillas) and τζ, tzou, j. We called this phenomenon: δίφθογγοι difthoggoi, diphthongs.

Honestly wouldn't surprise me considering Satanists (the good ones at least) are pretty open minded and they wouldn't be the type of people that "get offended" by christianity or nonsense. Doesn't matter what you believe in, if it sounds good it sounds good.

Check out the song “the sign of evil existence” from this band. It’s one of their first songs and has their original sound which is worth discussing compared to their newer ones. Plus the song is exactly 2.00 min (the band timed it on purpose to be at that time!) Once you hear it you will think you are listening to a totally different band from the song you just listened now! A lot of people find Rotting Christ boring... I think of much of it as being ritualistic chant, and a lot of it is relentlessly driving, yet a lot of it is great music to study or sleep to. Wonderful band unlike any other! Check out "King of a Stellar War"

to me their music is opposite of Byzantine Orthodox Music. I am romanian orthodox and our church music is very mystical sounding,put some electric guitar and drums, change the context of the lyrics and get a sort of Rotting Christ like,lol.

With "Rotting" they mean that he is filthy. Beacause i'm from Greece they mean that religion generaly has a rotting soul, like a rotting heart beacause they believe that religion is the biggest evil in planet. In the other hand, if you ask me why they sing a song with the revelation lyrics, i have no idea. I think that they dont know what to believe.

It would have been _professional_ (you guys have been doing these videos for almost 20 months by now) to put in the _effort_ to spell the title of this video correctly, as follows: *Rotting Christ - Χ Ξ Σ (666) Reaction* - the _official_ video on the *Season of Mist* KZfaq channel has the song title correctly, *as* does the fan-made lyric video on the channel of *Naya Ω* (yes, she has managed to include an 'Ω' in her channel name). _And,_ in your comment section, the current top comment from *P4nz9R* is _very meticulously_ written partially in Greek letters. *Rotting Christ* take their song titles _very_ seriously, using multiple languages and multiple different alphabets with precision. _Please_ do better. If necessary to raise the quality of your videos, do, _for example,_ slow down with your upload frequency *:)*

As does Rotting Christ. I was just being sarcastic towards Vin & Sori, so your question _further_ proves my point to them: It. Is. Not. That. Difficult, *Vin & Sori!* GREEK (Country & Language, though I do not speak it) RULES! :)

@@user-po6hn9id1t I also take issue with the friggin' IMDb that also refuses steadfastly to use non-English Alphabet letters in the *original titles of **_English-language_** movies* like *π* (pronounced /paɪ/ in English), where the letter stands for the mathematical constant, the irrational *number* (as in "NOT-a-letter!) the _symbol_ of which is the _lowercase_ letter π - actually, back in the day of calculators, EVERY calculator had the key 'π' because you _need_ it in common, practical use, not just in some University-level Advanced Mathematics stuff. Somehow, the world has taken a step backwards. Another thing IMDb (but not Wikipedia!) gets wrong is the name of the movie *wΔz* ("double-u delta zed"), which takes its name from *the Price equation* wΔz = Cov (w,z) = βwzVz as discovered by the characters in the movie. Well, at least it is not listed on IMDb as "WAZ", though their "w Delta z" looks silly.

@@gadabou94 You havent listened to them enough then. 666 is a very weak song yeah, they have literally dozens and dozens of songs that are superior in whatever aspect you want to pick up...Been listening this band for over 25 years and i have listened to them for literally thousands and thousands of hours... What defines rotting christ for me is basically 4 things :Atmosphere, harmonics,awesome riffs and solos. This song doesnt really stands off in any of those aspects, and guess what?.. they actually have songs that are amazing in all those 4 aspects at the same time. So yeah, a very weak song for rotting christ standars....Hell, even their first album has much better stuff than this....Compare this song to something like My sacred path and well.. it is lacking...Indeed, 666 sounds like typical slow tempo song that was used in the 90s as an intro to a much more solid song that came later and blew your mind off...So yeah, again, a weak one for what they can deliver...If you were to choose one and only choose one song to show what rotting christ is, that would have to be NON SERVIAM (not my favourite from them but a very nice song)... not these...
