This is so much more than black metal, this is metal at its finest, this song blasted me into the universe, this is one of the greatest songs ever written in my opinion, im into death and grind, but damn, this gives me chills and goosebumps every time I listen to it, even when I blast this song 5 times in a row, especially that riff before the end. Nemesis to be cursed) “Ιερός πόλεμος - Ιαχή δαίμονος” (Holy war - demon’s scream) Important note: In ancient Greek «δαιμων» was an inner God that protected and guide people. So “Πράττω κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού” means I do according to what my demon says to me, meaning according to my conscience, according to what I believe that is right, no matter what others think about it. In modern Greek “δαιμων» means demon, because it is supposed that if we do whatever we want no matter what society thinks, it is usually considered not good, so demon makes us do it.

@@neverlandfw Στα αρχαία ελληνικά η λέξη "κατά" στη φράση δεν έχει το νόημα against αλλά according to. όπως πχ λέμε και σήμερα κάποιες φράσεις όπως "κατά κύριο λόγο", "κατά μάνα κατά κόρη", "κατά τον Κύριον", "κατά λάθος" κλπ δηλαδή πράττω όπως μου λέει ο εαυτός μου, βαλλω σύμφωνα με τον άρχοντα Θεό, βαλλω όπως με οδηγεί ο φόβος μου.

@@user-dn7nf4iz6m Αρχικά στην επική ποίηση Δαίμονες καλούνταν οι Θεοί. Παράγεται από το ρήμα «δαίω» και «δαίομαι» που σημαίνει μοιράζω (μοιράζω στον καθένα την τύχη του). Επομένως Δαίμων είναι αυτός που μοιράζει, που δίνει μερίδια και κατ’ επέκταση «αυτός που ορίζει τη μοίρα ενός ανθρώπου».

Basically "πράττω κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού" means "acting according to my demon self". Ancient Greeks they believed that everyone had a demon self which was a personal god that everyone had inside him.
