I noticed that Donnie has one red eye and one blue eye but Leo has one red eye and a purple eye in the side by side shot of them together.

I think Donnie’s eyes changed because of, he didn’t feel well or something and so his eyes were paler than normal, like a normal person would have when they are sick

Leo and Donnie have 1 red eye and they have 1 colour eye based of their colour like Donnie’s other eye is purple and Leo’s other eye is blue. Donnie and Leo’s red eye is a way they communicate to each other due to twin senses and twin telepathy
