Why anyone would do this I don't know...but hey, its for James's maturation. 3. Pro v. Pro. Hank rides with pros from other sports who also love cycling and challenges them to various cycling related events. 4. Fund raising Hank. How much money can Hank raise for a charity of his choice. 5. Renaissance Hank. Can Hank become better than average at another sport? 6. Ultra Hank. Hank competes in an ultra distance cycling event. 7. Vertical Hank. How much can Hank improve his climbing capabilities if training specifically for it.

I'd love to see Hank ride the *Leadville 100* in the Colorado mountains in August. Or just ride the route if he can't make it there for the race. He seems to have the skill and stamina, it might be fun to watch.

Wrong appliance Si. Not sure your cassette or crankset would appreciate the 1000rpm spin cycle. Dishwasher however..! The idea of Muc-off instead of rinse aid is a whole new concept. Wonder if it'll get the tea stain off the mugs too?! 🤔

I tried the stick hack when my rear derailleur cable broke. It wouldn't stay in place and I had to grind my way nearly 30km home up some pretty steep climbs. Perhaps, like live race coverage, this works worldwide except New Zealand?

@Si Whippets are either dogs or a slang term for Nitrous Oxide, an anesthetic gas that can be used to get high. N2O is easily obtained from whipped cream aerosol containers, hence the name.

Motorcyclists have long used dishwashers for cylinder heads, crankcases, etc.

No control over the break, gears and nothing to stop you flying over the handlebar. Si is speaking about the reins or aerobars? :)

Challenge for Hank (and others): how fast can you guys do a bike change/wheel change just like the pro teams? Break up into several teams? Various GCN international presenters?

a slight twist on the rubber band wheel hack, I use a length of inner tube with two holes either end cut with a hole punch. Works a treat.

On the case of Tubeless on cobbles. The cobble has raised sides and pinches the side wall side ways and inward, thusly unseating the seal.if you squeeze a tubeless tire at the side while test ting the pressure this will unseat the seal and let out air. Good for pinch flats but not for side-wall squeezes.

I don't know about a washing machine for cassette and chain, but what about an old dishwasher? You could fill the top rack with cassettes and have a shiny stable of bikes.
