Rough grading a new construction yard. I was on this site earlier last year digging the frost footing. We are finally back to touch up the rough grade and get ready to spread the dirt for seed and straw. They did away with the walkout and added some windows which is really going to make the grading interesting lol! Dad is helping move some pallets and carry dirt around to the front of the house. The whole is really nice packing clay but it's almost to finish grade height so a lot will need cut down. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #RoughGrade

So here is what is so great about this video, I absolutely love when you spend the first moments explaining your strategy based off what you are seeing. It is amazing how you determine your plan by looking at the ground, and your can plan out your moves. Then what I get excited about is looking when you execute and understand exactly what you are doing and why! It makes your videos for me that much more fascinating. When I ride by construction sites and I see excavators working or skid steers moving, and now can understand to a certain degree what they are doing! Rewatched and Loved the video!

You did a heck of a job on that, and I admire your patience, and skill in fixing things that even I could see were going to be a problem.

Nice work correcting what appears to be pretty serious mistake. Looks like they built that foundation in a hole.

Im sure the entire planning was a challenge from the start. You get a thumbs up for making lemonade out of lemons. I think the entire house should have been built at least two or more feet up out of the ground. The way it sits they will always fight to keep water away from the foundations. Any kind of lawn will be a headache to maintain too. Its not all bad though, the house and scenery looks beautiful!

Great job. Especially with the material (rock) and odd elevations you had to work with. It takes a lot of experience, visualization (seeing a final product in your minds eye) and feel of grade while running a loader to get the results you consistently get on your jobs.

From what it looked like, it looks alot better but I agree with you, Several different elevations on the house lot, basically a freaking nightmare to grade, thanks for sharing Brandon, look forward to seeing the end result, you always do good work 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸

I remember this job. They did not put much (if any,,, I can say it, you shouldn’t, haha) thought into the grading!! The brick on the front is already in the dirt and for the homeowner to get what they wanted, you would have to bury some of the veneer!! Big waste of $$$, but also that veneer won’t stand up to being buried, permanently moist and experiencing a freeze thaw cycle. It will probably disintegrate. I suspect the pipe by the lowest window is for a window well??? I don’t quite know how things are done there vs here,, as we know!!! Hahaha.
