I like this idea of taking a piece of equipment and making another useful tool out of it. I'm going to enjoy this series of videos.

I am really looking forward to this series! My only suggestion at this point is, do not make your conveyor table any narrower. You may get a bigger baler one day, and it would feed faster to leave it wider. For now, could you just build an angled guard out of sheet metal at the end of the conveyor table to direct the hay toward the baler intake? Hope that made sense to you Lol

I don’t think I would cut the chain I don’t think 10 inches will matter that’s only 5 inches on each side I think I would try it before I’d cut it you may have to to do some sprocket reduction to change speeds I think you can turn it into a rebaked pretty easy

i looked up the specs on a new holland 850 roller. it said it makes a 68'' x 68'' bale and requires 19hp pto. that cant be right can it? you need way more hp than that dont you?
@GerraldFarms3 жыл бұрын
I just googled it and same that. I would say it needs more than that. I pulled mine with a 574 International. 574 has around 67 hp. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a good one

@@GerraldFarms good id like to watch it being built, yea i figured that was wrong i bet it would make my 4000 ford grunt
@GerraldFarms3 жыл бұрын
I think it would run it. You might have to slow down in heavy hay.
