A friend of the channel came across some VHS tapes that he was about throw away and ask if I'd be interested in any of the content. Here is one of the VHS tapes which contains a video of Rover The Safety Rabbit, a chidren's video made for school visits by CN Rail, to educated kids on railroad safety.

This is absolutely authentic; prepared for CN and its school safety program by Sheridan College (Oakville ON.) student animators, & given a premiere in 1993 with a mascot River the Safety Rabbit to entertain my 4-year-old and others in the audience.

This looked more like a cartoon from the 1970s vs the 1990s. It was educational not just for train safety but to learn some French.👍

I never even heard of this cartoon. I only heard of another cartoon, Sly Fox and Birdie, except it’s presented by the Union Pacific Railroad. Compared to SF&B, the animation is way more quirky and the voice acting is okay. They did get the message out, but I could see some room for improvement.

Now that you mentioned it, that is a good observation. At least this video is animated, not just a bunch of still images.
