Help support the channel and buy this Mini Split on Amazon here! - amzn.to/3O1lfzI
Check out my install video here! - • How to install a Minis...
Tools I had to buy for the install:
AC Repair Tool Kit for Mini Split/HVAC - amzn.to/43ryor9
Milwaukee Drill Set - amzn.to/3XQKMjx
Hole saw kit - amzn.to/3pJhmHx
Drill bit set - amzn.to/3K47gHZ
The air conditioner on my RV was destroyed by a tornado so I bought the cheapest Minisplit on amazon, the ROVSUN Inverter Minisplit Air Conditioner and Heating system! This Mini Split only cost me $500 but it was a HUGE upgrade over the air conditioning I had in my RV previously! I'll be posting an install video soon!

That's crazy you installed it on your roof, making your rig height even taller than the already tall standard rooftop mount A/C units. Most install the outdoor compressor hanging off the backwall or on the bumper.

True, in my bus build I’m going to be putting the outside unit under it. I put it on top of the motorhome because there wasn’t really anywhere else to put it and I didn’t want to run 30 feet of A/C lines to the back. So far it’s been alright, I haven’t had any issues clearing anything

When I first clicked this video I had the same concern, but then I remembered I once strapped in a 8-ft plus CB antenna on my roof of my class A and barely was scraping some of the overpasses. That was definitely the one and only time I did that but at least my area in the southwest will have no problem with roof mounts.

I would put fresh batteries in the remote, instead of using any Chinesiem batteries it may have come with.

How many solar panels does it require to run this minisplit? Can you say what type setup you have?

Do you use it driving down the road? If so, does it work as well as when parked? I'm curious about if the amount of air flowing across the condenser when driving is too much.

How has this Held up since when you installed it? How's the Performance? Any Issues So Far? Saw this On eBay don't see any Warranty on the Units. However, I was Looking at another Company Acekool who Claims to have 10Year Warranty, Costs Only About $100 More. But I haven't Seen any Reviews Of them, They don't even have a Legit Website Showing their Mini Splits, That Means Certainly No Customer Service Or Support after the 30-60Day eBay Protection Period. So that Makes Me Skeptical. So, I'm thinking of getting this one, It's got a good warranty and Customer Service and If its a Reliable & Dependable Unit.

How big is your RV? I have a 27ft travel trailer and my AC is broken. Working off 2 portable AC units right now 😅

I’ll be making a video about this soon! But the short story is it heats really well down to -5 (Fahrenheit,) and I was able to maintain 40 inside on a day when it was -25

Hey! Thanks for a great video. I’m hoping you can help me with a couple of questions. I just purchased this same unit and I’m contemplating attempting the install myself. My questions below. I would be so appreciative if you find time to answer 1) I’m told that you need to pressurize the system? Is there any specifics on this process. Did you have to do this? 2) I’m told the units don’t actually ship with Freon or whatever chemicals the system needs in the ac/heat tubes to function. Did you need to add any AC gasses or chimerical or was everything good to go out the box. Any and all information you can provide before my install next week would be so great!!!

Hey! So you do need a vacuum pump to vacuum the system out. (amzn.to/492gSwu) This is the one I used, it came with all the bits I needed for this specific unit. You need to vacuum out the A/C Line, let it sit for 30 mintutes onces its vacuumed out to make sure theres no leaks, then the outside unit has R134A already and you just turn an allen key to release it. There are a few youtube tutorials on how to do it, and they explain it a lot better than I can here. Once I get the chance, I'll upload my own install video 👍

I thought when it says precharged up to 25' you did not need a compressor and guages.

It is Precharged, but you still need to vacuum out the lines before you release it into the system to get rid of any moisture!

Im having trouble with heating. I dont understand the dipswitches on the remote. Are both switches suppose to be on heat?
@TheModernNomad-us9gb

At the top there should be 4 icons that light up as you cycle through the “mode” button. On the far right is one that looks like a cartoon sun, select that one and you’ll have heat!
