$ years ago, I bought a Comfortotal 18,000 BUT, and a month later another brand 9,000 BTU. The Comfortotal is running like new, the other one is being replaced next week, when it gets here. The other brand has a messed up circuit board, and since the seller was not registered with the manufacturer, the will not warrent repairs. The board costs just over half what I paid for the unit. After replacing my old central AC, my electric bill went down by about 43%.

For anyone who has the older units that displays only in celsius. You can order a new remote from the company in Texas and the new remote will display in Fahrenheit, but only on the remote and not the display on wall unit. It makes the conversion automatically between the remote and the wall unit. Again, It does not change the display on the wall unit. But at least you can look at the remote to see what conversion it is. It works perfectly. I ordered a replacement remote and found this out, all the other functions work the same as well on the remote. Hope this helps others.

1st of all great great video I'm so glad that I ran across this video. I have a question, I'm looking for something similar to this or maybe this exact unit for my 10 by 20 Shed I live in Michigan and we get pretty cold winters. Do you think this unit by itself would be sufficient enough h to really heat up a 200 ft² area or would you recommend a higher btu. New sub Thanks

It gets pretty cold in Michigan, like really cold. The unit that we have does not have heat strips so it is only a heat pump and those only work down to about 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Not sure if this is the solution you need for heat, but definitely for A/C at 200 square ft. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

It plugs into an outlet on the inside actually but We ran the 220 outside to a weatherproof outlet and connected it there.They also have the 110 model that plugs into an inside outlet. Your manual should list what size breaker each mini split requires. Also. Each unit should be on it's own, independent breaker alone. How many btu's is each unit? 6k, 9k, 12k, 18k etc. The more btu's = larger breaker. A 25 or 20 or 25 amp breaker is required to prevent breaker trip for 12k and up. Your manual should advise what the unit needs. Also. Is your unit 220 or 110/115 ? I'm guessing you're limited on electrical experience? Consider hiring a professional electrician. 👍

If the unit is sized correctly based on the square footage and heat load calculations and also depending on your climate you can just put it in dry mode and set the temp you want. Doing this the fan will turn off when the temp is satisfied, however it will lower the fan speed and the humidity during its cycle. If the room temp continues to rise in dry mode the unit is under sized for the area. If the unit is sized correctly it should work fine and lower the humidity a little while turning the fan off between cycles. Hope this helps.

@@OrangeWiresGarage you got my friend. I appreciate it. We just moved into a new house. I’m putting this one in the garage. However out Grandsons bedroom is upstairs. The house came with a Mitsubishi mini split. It works fantastic, but it’s always running. I dawned on me at the end of your video you said this unit is not an inverter. @@stevenroby5393 inverter systems run at variable speeds and are more energy efficient. With this one when the outdoor unit is on or off and not variable with the 220v model it only uses about 5 amps when it is running. We are very pleased with it especially for the price.

@@OrangeWiresGarage understood. Yea the upstairs bedroom unit does that in deed. It varies the speed of the fan on the outside unit. I MUST SAY THIS GUY IS STRAIGHT UP. IMAGINE HOW MUCH FASTER HE COULD HAVE GOT THE JOB DONE WITHOUT FILMING. AND CONFORTOTAL IS ABOUT THE LOWEST COST UNIT OUT THERE. WHAT MAKES THE PRICE HIGHER IS POLITICS, AS THEY PROBABLY ALL COME FROM THE SAME PLACE, IN CHINA. LET ME SHARE SOME ADVICE WHEN GETTING A MINI SPLIT ONLY GET A SINGLE UNIT (IN OTHER WORDS 1 OUTDOOR UNIT TO 1 INDOOR UNIT). WHY ? BECAUSE THE MULTI UNIT WHEN THEY FAIL WILL F YOU BIG TIME. IE I HAD A SANYO POS SYSTEM WITH 1 OUTDOOR UNIT AND 3 INDOOR UNITS. UPON FAILING THE DIAGNOSIS WAS TO CHANGE "ALL" THE COMPUTERS IN BOTH THE INDOOR AND OUTDOOR UNITS MEANING THE COST TO BUY THE PARTS WAS MORE THAN THE SYSTEM ITSELF. F THEM. GET SINGLE UNITS AND WHEN THERE IS A FAILURE THE WORST CASE IS JUST REPLACING 1 UNIT. WELL THANKS FOR LISTENING. AND A THUMBS UP TO ORANGE WIRES GARAGE.

Hi, I was wondering the only lines you vacuum were from the head unit onto the outside unit you open the little Velau where you fill in for Freon whenever it’s low to release the fluid the refrigerant correct you only pulled vacuum from the head unit onto the outside unit to get the lines cleared of moisture and then once that was done youmake sure of course, open up the vowels and check for leaks on the connections that you made correct
@tombukt2
@tombukt2 2 жыл бұрын
There is no need to vacuum anything look carefully at what you're doing there will be no moisture to damage the inverter compressor which is highly unlikely make your connections put your oil and nonsense on the flares tighten everything up and then look carefully at your brass works see the schrader valve on the low or fat line so with everything connected and tight you open up the high side and you let it run until you hear it start to come out of the schrader valve on the low fat line that you have depressed the high sides open it pushes out all the air moisture and nonsense through the schrader whoosh you feel it on your hand close it up open the low side and turn it on no need to vacuum
