Missy Elliott is never naked. And shes one of the greatest female rap artist in the game. Dej Loaf, kept her clothes on and a few other lesser known house party female rappers keep their clothes on. Rappers who wear minimal clothing do it because it sells records. They wouldn't do it, if everyone decided that it's no longer appropriate.

Back in the 80s when I was in jr high everytime a teacher would leave the classroom in any class I would play this beat on the the desk, and everyone would start dancing or waving their hands in the air like the actual rap song came on because I was that good at doing that. Even the nerds enjoyed it. The good old days.

I'll never forget the first time I heard this. I was 14 and my brother was 12 in 1984 and it was on Power 99 FM on the Lady B's show in Philadelphia on Sunday (Metal was on Saturday night on 94.1 on WYSP). She played all the old school rap we all know and love on her show. My brother still has the tape when this premiered. Just didn't hear rap or metal everyday on the radio like now. I'm glad that I grew up in the 1980s. Good times, good times.

Wow!! This brings back such great memories of being a teenager. We were all so natural then. From the way we looked & dressed. Nothing fake!!! No auto tunes. The natural flow of rap, unfiltered. So thankful to grow up at that time. It was very special. Breakdancing & battling through words & dance. No social media, word of mouth & real talent!!!

Agreed she wasnt the first female rapper BUT Shante was the first Bonafide female rap star. Shante was the first female rapper to gain national and international attention. Many females that came afterward say she inspired them to rap.

I've known this womans voice since I was 12..she came with me everywhere as a feeling. I'm sure u know what I mean. Never saw a pic of her for years just the voice and the feeling. And Marley marl of course.. Legendary. Now im At 50yrs old it's nice to know she gets the recognition she deserves.

She went to the same Junior High School as I went to in Woodside. I was there in 1982. I wonder if I knew her. The outfits brought back many memories for me. I just watched Netflix movie about her. She was so young going through adult stuff. What an amazing artist she is. I hope life went well for her.
