Great song, thank you for your reaction. I still remember years back when I was working in a restaurant in Halmstad (Sweden), Marie, the singer of this band, came and picked up food. She was so nice. She was a big star, but when at home, I think she just wanted to be her self.

Yes it is from a live gig at "Borgholm" on our second biggest island "Öland" outside the eastcoast of the mainland of Sweden. In the summer it's a popular location for vacations. :)

This song is a classic! Marie's voice was incredible. Sadly, she passed away. She was all about being comfortable while performing. I Love it! Also, I don't know if it's just me or not but the volume/sound was really low on this song. It was hard to hear. I wish it was louder. Great reaction otherwise.

Spending my time is a great one. when everyone in my school dug Madonna and Cindy Lauper I was into Roxette and Bonnie Raitt. I'm a rocker at heart what can I say.

Roxette is the name of the band, which consists of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. Their entire catalog of songs are amazing. Sadly, she passed away on December 9, 2019, at the age of 61, to brain cancer. Their most famous song is "It Must Of Been Love" (the love theme) from the movie Pretty Woman.

Roxette is one of the best bands in the world. Roxette is a duo, the main lead singer Marie Fredriksson and the main songwriter who also sings (here on guitar besides Marie) Per Gessle. Actually the first Roxette US Billboard number 1 song is sang by Per called "The Look". This song was their second number 1. "It Must Have Been Love" (lead by Marie) and "Joyride" (lead by Per) also reached number 1 position on US Bilboard charts. Other hits are "Spending My Time", "Fading Like A Flower (Everytime You Leave)", "Dangerous", "Sleeping In My Car", "Anyone", "Wish I Could Fly" etc.

@@dubzer0649 they are great as Marie and Per take it turn to lead vocals in their songs. Roxette started in 1986 with Per Gessle who’d split from a band and Marie who was starting a solo career. Someone from EMI svenska thought they’d be great internationally, and as they were good friends went for it. Per is the composer of nearly all of their songs and had 4 US no 1s. Per wanted roxette to be for him to write and Marie to sing, however their lead single in the US ‘the look’ had him on lead vocals. An American student studying in Sweden 🇸🇪 returned with ‘look sharp’ album featuring song you’ve reacted to and gave to his radio station who played it. ‘The look’ wasn’t even a single, it was just the opening track and it snowballed all over America 🇺🇸 and then the world. First US no 1 and recommend it to you aswell

Sadly Marie Fredrikkson died a couple of years ago, but per is still successful in Sweden 🇸🇪 and their legacy lives on.

The name of the album it’s from, per heard the quote from Paul McCartney saying writing songs with John Lennon was a long joyride. I’m from the uk and saw roxette live in 2012 in Brisbane Australia, shows how much of a fan I am

There have been various singers through the years who felt they sung better without shoes (or refused to sing with shoes whatsoever, like Linda Ronstadt). Who knows, maybe they're right. 🤷♀️
