Russia's crying for you, Queen Marie... Best singer ever.

This isn't their "catchiest" song, but to me, it is one of their best. This is a haunting tune and a ballad that pulls at the heartstrings. Emotion is the most important element in music, and few songs move me the way this does. I'm genuinely astonished that I have never heard it played on a radio station. (I'm 47 BTW, so there's been plenty of time.) Roxette spanned nearly 30 years and could still sell out a venue when I saw them in 2015. Truly one of the legends of pop music.

It was my companion when I felt alone. Recently, I was asked to pick few songs that were most important in my life for a theraphy session. I picked Queen of Rain. This song took me back to the years of my childhood, when my older sister Marie sang in the church choir .... and you also sang in the church choir. Farewell to the rain queen, the angels took you to heaven, the heavenly glory greeted you at the gates of heaven. Marie rest in the peace of God!

1992 was a year of the beginning of 'dark days' ahead for me as my parents had just gone through a divorce in October,1991. I had just entered into Grade 9. So, 1992 began and I was 'sailing' on while the world was moving apace. My fellow classmates were happy living with their parents and all I did was just going through the motions of everyday life. I went to school with my head filled sorrows- wasn't abled to concentrate properly. My thoughts of the world then was that everyone was selfish since no one really understood what the hell I was going through. No one asked me anything and so I never told anyone anything. However, back in '89 I got introduced to Roxette by their very ever popular hit 'It Must Have Been Love' and ever since I've always been a huge fan of them. Now, the album 'Tourism' came in '92 and I recalled listening to the entire album on cassette and this song to me was among the best. Whenever 'Queen of Rain' and the others are played I always remember my saddest days. This album was a comforting zone for me as I escaped reality temporarily. RIP Marie!
