10:00 They cut out his "This is totally not me" story of a guy who messed up his relationship with his parents, ended up in a new land and had a good thing going until he messed up there as well, and finally remembered his previous parents. He asked "What should that man do." And she answered (with him specifying he can't go back to their graves) that there is nothing can be done and he can only focus on the family he has now. She must've picked up that there was something going on, but didn't press him.

I don't think its said anytime in the anime but when rudy got married to sylphy she said that she expects rudy to have more wives and she said that when they come she will make sure to be respectful towards them and make them feel welcome as long as rudy doesn't forget her Fun fact sylphy is very self conscious about her sexual attractiveness as she feels she not big enough And the same thing can be said for roxy as she feels like she's to small and childlike to be attractive to anybody But the community would say other wise

In the book she even thinks of Nanahoshi as being buxom, an observation Rudeus disagrees with. Funny how both women Rudeus has fallen in love with at this point have such body image issues going on. Sylphie is a slender beauty, and Roxy is cute and petite, yet both beat themselves over the head over not being different.

@@Tounushi Yeah that was weird, I mean it went like: Rudy has some big boobie hot girls around like Linia, Pursena, and Nanahoshi. Sylphie was probably refering to the beast girls as big breasted and then included nanahoshi as another cute female friend. And ofc Sylphie and Roxy have body image issues when Roxy is constantly getting treated like a kid and was romantically rejected before probably because of it, meanwhile Luke constantly tells Sylphie that she doesn't look like a girl, that he feels nothing for her and that no Notos (same as Rudeus) Greyrat would ever find her attractive

Well my viewpoint is that Rudy before getting isekaid was at mental age of a 14-year-old, it's apparent by how horny he acted all the time after reincarnation, like a little kid that has just reached puberty, and he was stunted at his mental growth because of the reincarnation (he thought it's like a second chance to be a child again), so he was growing seemingly together with his body's age, but his metnal age jumped a lot after Eris left him, so you could say that before they did the deed Eris and Rudy were both the same mental age (I hope this thing makes sense) And in the case with Roxy, your argument about lolicons is quite relevant, yes, but if elaborating on it a bit more, I'd say that Roxy is mentally younger than Rudy, but physically older, so she's not really grooming (?) Correct me if I'm wrong though

My head cannon is that he was never as mentally mature as his previous self's age until right around here in the story. He was a kid with hormones and a child brain growing up, (for the most part Rudy acted like a child up until at least probably until the second turning point), but with memories and information a regular kid wouldn't have, so he acts a bit wiser in some areas while ultimately, still not entirely getting it. IMO, Eris is only partially more mature. She has her temper issues but she handles death much better for example. Roxy is the same age mentally as Rudy if you include his past life together, 34+ Rudy = Roxy. I'm not a huge fan of the word grooming just cause no one is using it right here. You really have to stretch that definition to fit any of them. She never groomed him but what she did this episode was very manipulative. In the LN, they even lied and said she's pregnant so that he'd marry her. I hold the opinion that both Eris and Roxy took advantage of Rudy emotionally during their respective first times.

This is something lot of people seems to ignore. Even though he was 30+ years old in his previous life, he was still a teenager mentally. Like, how can he grow up without having any exposure to the world for 15 years? He never showed the maturity of an adult in his previous life.

I was surprised that Roxy took the initiative, though I suspect all that adventuring with Elinalise rubbed off a bit. Sylphie's reaction is likely to be mitigated by the fact that she continued to be friends with Lilia and Zenith for years after Rudy left, so she has first hand experience of their relationship. I think more telling than her comment when she worried about her own ability to conceive was her thoughts last season, where while considering whether or not to reveal herself to Rudy, she wonders if he'll continue to be interested in other women even if she does, and she concludes that as Paul did, Rudy would be likely to as well -- but despite this, she does continue to pursue him.

In the world of Mushoku Tensei monogamy is common, but not enforced or considered to be sacred by most people. There is a faith that does forbid polygamy, Millis church, but ONLY for the believers and it's not a very popular religion, so unlike our world's church during the middle ages it cant enforce it's beliefs. After all, in a society like this it's the people at the top who decide what is right and what is wrong, and from a noble's perspective monogamy is very limiting for many reasons, while regular people usually see those who are above them as an example.

In my opinion, there's no justifying or excusing Roxy's actions. But maybe that's a good thing. Maybe the whole point of the show is about flawed people who find family with other flawed people and that, yes, you may be a cheater like paul, a pedo like Rudy, or someone who accepted being a side chick like Roxy, but so long as those same people accept you as the flawed person that you are, while also walking a path of getting better, maybe that's all that matters no matter what your current social sin might have been.

In the light novel the reason Roxy sleeps with Rudy is because the rest of the party thought it would be a good way to get him out of his funk because he was becoming a liability because of his depresson and the reason why Rudy Chose to marry Roxy in the novel was because Elinalize lied to Rudy and made him believe he got Roxy pregnant

Sigh... Like all isekai it's just about horny power fantasy at the end, even if mushoku tensei is written better than most isekai. Still can't beat konosuba though.
