I totally agree with you! Dallaire is one the very few people whom gave a damn about Rwanda unlike the world. He has done Canada very proud!!

Romeo Dallaire is the kind of man with such integrity that I'd be shocked if he was one of the MANY senators claiming ridiculous expenses to be paid by us taxpayers for homes he spends one day a year in. This is a man we can trust. His face breaks my heart, though, knowing what he was put through in Rwanda, and his PTSD.

Roy Dupuis did an amazing job at portraying the heroic Romeo Dallaire. I have so much respect for Dallaire, he lead with his heart! The only thing critical I have to say, well it's more of a funny pattern I have noticed, is Roy Dupuis body language is strange during every interview with Romeo Dallaire. He's always closed off with his arms closed & it almost seems like Dallaire said something really offensive to him right before the interview began lol. I can't help but wonder why he seems so stoic, closed off & detached?

Those scenes where Habyarimana meeting and welcoming Dallaire didn't exist in the dvd version. Maybe they did in theaters.

They can't be solely blamed, but to say its just a bandwagon jumper is absolutely ridiculous! They refused to use the term Genocide, because if they did, it would mean having to take action! Not just the US but the UK as well. Did they cause the genocide? No. Did they stand by and let it happen. YES!
