The way he finished Paz off was spectacular. Vinnie was all heart but it wasn't nearly enough against Roy.

I know there’s the second Griffin fight or the Glen Kelly fight showing him at another level, but was this peak RJJ? Don’t forget Paz was still giving other super middles trouble for a few years after this. Roy made him look like an amateur when the guy was a champ. Quadruple left hooks, shutout rounds, combinations invented and not seen since-Roy could do no wrong at this point.

Roy Jones Jr is my favorite athlete of all time, I grew up just down I10 in Mobile, Al and I knew he was coming to Mobile from time to time but I never got to meet him. I also had really good friends in P-Cola but still never saw him. He's the only celebrity I would ever care to meet and still hope to one day. I have watched every fight of his at least 50 times. He was just flat out amazing and my favorite part is he always thanked his lord and savior as the first thing that came out of his mouth after each fight. I was crushed when he lost to Tarver and it was also awful to see what happened to his body, strength and conditioning after dropping all that weight after the Ruiz fight. His entire muscle tone looked different and for the first time ever he looked tired. God a plan for him anyways. I just love the guy. But let me say this " No body in the history of boxing beats a prime Roy Jones. No sugars, no Haglers, no Hearns or Durans and especially no boxer today and for sure no Canelo. Yall musta forgot lol
