United were not that dominant that people make them out to be, 1996=1997 for anyone that does not remember. Seasons 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 Liverpool had an outstanding squad. Top players were Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane and Origi. Not all players were able to represent good value for money. Some of the worst signings under Klopp were Karius, Keita, Nunez and Thiago Alcantara. I agree that sometimes they were a bit unlucky against a phenomenal Manchester City side under Guardiola and I think that FSG could have and should have supported Klopp a lot better in the transfer market some summers. I can't help but fear for the poor individual who has the unenviable task of following in the footsteps of Jurgen Klopp.

Its not a game of who manages their accounts better or spends most/least. There will be another transfer window very soon. Klopp won 8 trophies. Great in my opinion, no his not but very few managers can compare too Ferguson or Pep and that's what Roy is referring too. Could he have reached Greatness yes if Pep was not at City. Had Pep been there in Ferguson's period then who knows. It's a tricky one. City has been exceptional and I'm a Liverpool fan but Klopp has been exciting too watch and I for one will miss him. Greatness is not always measured in terms of titles. His a larger than life personality and in my opinion that makes him great.

You would be second, correct, but get real, you walked the league most years, because you had no real competition. Utd’s achievements were akin to Bayern and Juve winning their respective leagues for a decade or more, due to poor overall leagues. Utd’s record in Europe was the litmus test and Fergie only won twice, despite year-on-year qualification. Easy to walk a poor league when your club is a big dog.

Roy is right. Liverpool under Klopp are not a great time. A great team was Barcelona under Guardiola, or Ajax under Michels, or AC Milan with Maldini, Baresi, Gatusso. Or Man U under Ferguson. Or Liverpool 1977-1990.

My assessment of roy keane was he was bang average as i remember an 18 year old Gerrard snapping him and he was terrified to go near him. Picks his battles roy like doing haaland. Also hes a league 2 manager so he knows nothing about football
