When he was at Sunderland he had a player come down, had similar talks that Dalglish had with Keano. The guy was so intimidated by Keano that he said yes to the deal in the office without signing the contract. Said he had to go home and talk it over with people, Keano walked him out to the car park and then when the player was driving away he received a text or call from him saying that he had signed for another club lmao. So it has happened to him. I don't think he holds any grudges.

It's not a stitch up, it's just business and, more importantly, just life. Sometimes you have to make big decisions. If we were talking about the normal business life (that most of us have no choice but to contend with) nobody bats an eyelid about someone changing their minds about the next job they take. Why should it be any different in sports? It's not like Dalglish is his dad or something. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what Keane did.

@@GuinessOriginal Nonsense. A lot of the United sides that won it had a lot of kids who came through the academy. Money was spent that was earned at the gate. What you've got at city is an artificial construct and you know that. Attendances from the thirties or forties don't really count when the club has got empty seats at every game.
@GuinessOriginal2 жыл бұрын
@@spaceswan2605 it might interest you to know the there are on average almost 3 thousand empty seats at old Trafford every game. Don't brokenness me, look up average attendances at old Trafford. How many academy products start every game in the current team? Owners investing in clubs has been part of professional football since it's inception. Man u fans are just sore that they're owners are taking money out instead. All city and Chelsea have done is level the playing field and utd fans don't like it because they think they've got a god given right to spend more money than anyone else. The facts are utd have spent as much as city since they last won the title under fergie, but their recruitment hasn't been anywhere near as good. You've got two academy strikers who both want to play down the middle, so you buy two strikers in their late 30s to ensure that they won't
