Hello everyone.
In this video, I'm sharing my disappointment with the same issue which is prevalent with the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Despite major improvements, this bike still has the issue of chassis breaks which can be a menace.

It appears that the engine mounting bolt is missing, which is a critical concern. The engine acts as a stress-bearing member in the chassis of the Himalayan 450. Without the engine’s support, the entire load is transferred to the backbone of the chassis, particularly the section beneath the tank. This could potentially lead to structural issues. It doesn’t seem like there’s an inherent flaw in the chassis’s quality. Instead, the absence of the engine mounting bolt seems to be the primary culprit here. It’s essential to ensure that all engine mounts are properly secured to maintain the motorcycle’s structural integrity and prevent undue stress on the chassis.

Owner negligence led to this. The bandidos pitstop crash gaurd was installed on this bike. The main engine bolt was missing which led to the engine felling off. Bike is absolutely fine. No issues with it. While I'm not against aftermarket crash gaurds, with this engine being the stressed member of the chassis, the owners must be extra cautious. This is a case of pure negligence from the owners end. And that why this dude is trying to get all those videos down. RE can even refuse warranty in this case but I guess they are still replacing it under warranty.

I own a Himalayan 411 2018, 47k+ kms done chassis broke down 2 days back.. whoever owns a himalayan have to check for the chassis cracks before starting the ride and never neglect any noise coming out of the motorcycle for us to be safe

My god! Lucky you. Many people are facing this issue. It is important for owners to inspect their Himalayan bikes before riding. As a precaution, one must avoid off-roading on this bike. This never happened to Xpulse, BMW or Dominars despite off-roading. Thanks for sharing your experience. Wishing you safe riding👍

I sold my 2022 Himalayan 411 in just 13 months and brought triumph scrambler 400x later. I am satisfied with my decision. Fit and finish is top notch.

1. It is happening with other makes bikes too but not getting addressed. This time engine is not mounted on the chassis like Himalayan 411, instead engine become the structural part (Strengthen the chassis) hence the loose engine from the chassis leads to the chassis failure. 2. The chassis is designed with enough safety factor in order to withstand the crash conditions. Hence failure of Chassis in normal conditions were never possible. Chances of few QC flaws during the mass production are there. 3. Don't be much judgmental at this stage, be patient and wait for the details and evidences. This was a problem with the Himalayan 411. Over 50+ owners faced the breaks even when they were riding in the city. Never happened with other models of any company. So why would there be a loose chassis? Isn't it the fault of the manufacturer? It's always better to stay away from these bikes.

The aftermarket crash guards can never be loosened as they too have a tight fit. There are numerous bikes in the market which are fitted with aftermarket crash guards and never have any issues. When it happens only with this bike, it makes the buyers think before purchasing this. Even I personally like this bike but lost trust in it now. Can be life-threatening for the rider if it breaks.

Yes even I have seen in KTM Duke 390 few weeks back😅 but people least care abt it since it’s not RE😂 not sure why this guy is so biased 😅

Most chases breaks are due to rider inexperience/ overloading/ poor riding on jumps and pot holes. not fault of manufacturer in most cases . An experienced rider will rectify the issue in the initial stages when he notices the chasis getting extra impacts by improving his body /foot position and right momentum/lines tackling obstacles.

But this is happening specifically with the Himalayan and not with Xpulse, BMW GS310, Suzuki V-storm or KTM Adventure series. Another incident happened in Assam where the frame of Himalayan 450 broke 😐

I have read that all failures have been due to aftermarket engine bars being fitted incorrectly.

It seems the installers have been leaving out the engine mounting bolt after fitting crash bars. How is that RE’s responsibility?

Breaking Chassis should be last thing to fail. Just to save few bucks company cannot put its stupid but faithfull customers life in danger 😂

@@youtube_user_rrakagps I've done jumps on Xpulse multiple times. I've ridden it on no roads. Yes I know off-roading also includes riding in mud and mountains but I've not done that. But others have done it .
