It ain't cool how Royce is handling this Yelawolf situation. He's a very intelligent individual and had to have known people would be more intrigued by this whole mysticism of the situation. To say that he's tired of people asking him about it makes me scratch my head. In one breath he says he felt so disrespected that it was important that he speaks on it. In the next breath he says it's not that important. WTF?!

Hip hop is about being respectful? Come again. Never seen a sport of art as disrespectful as hiphop. That's a straight up lie. Maybe royce is, but hiphip is rarely in any way respectful. Killing, drugs, and glorifyimg sex as a recreational sport. None of which I have an issue with, but hip-hop is a very toxic thing quite often.
@fightermma
@fightermma 3 жыл бұрын
You don't know the history of rap or you wouldn't be making such idiotic statements. Hip hop started in the 70s. The original rap battles involved no actual disses and were cyphers. One person would rap their verse and then the other person would rap theirs. Then the crowd would cheer for which person they thought did better. Whoever got the loudest/most cheers one. There was no profanity at the start and songs were about social justice, the condition of black people and there were also songs about having fun. Don't play yourself. Even today there are many rappers who don't curse or rap anything degoratory. You just have to stop choosing to listen yo the kind of rap you listen to.
@remissiveslave
@remissiveslave 3 жыл бұрын
@@fightermma we have wap and fuck trump, that's rap. I respect lyricism, just not the narrative that producers expect once they have artists by the balls. KZfaq and independent lyricist have changed the game. When you have the ability to not do you what a label wants, it's beautiful. About trump BTW, I don't give a fuck about him for good or bad, politicians are scum by nature and tradition and it's not that I'm bothered by people dissing him, it just lacks creativity. Em is an example of the industry. A talented artist that has to do what he's told whether it's something he's on board with or not.

Agreed. "Racist" gets thrown around way too much these days. If you are going to accuse someone of being racist, you had better be willing to explain what you have seen/heard that makes you feel that way. Let's not forget that Yelawolf is married to black woman which makes calling him racist sound a bit ridiculous.
@jwdathefax377
@jwdathefax377 4 жыл бұрын
Ryan Hershkowitz - Plenty of old black men that married white women that absolutely hated white people, and plenty of slave owners rumored to have fell in love with one of their slaves so that doesn’t really hold up, but I agree to a certain extent though. But I hate when people yell “prove it” cause we don’t live in a day and age where you see a lot of blatant, open racism cause people could lose jobs and reputations over it. So the person who’s yelling “prove it” already knows that whatever you say can be argued. That “I’m not racist cause I have a black friend” nonsense died a long time ago. But for the record, “prejudice” should probably be used more than “racist” these days.

Betsy Devos at education, Former Texas Governor over the department of Energy, placed a Wall Street paper pusher over the EPA, Ben Carson over Housing, etc. I really could keep going! He placed his son in law in charge of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. He placed Pence in charge of the coronavirus (which he called a hoax until someone died). A producer named Brian Jones was in the studio with yela , Klever and a few other people. Royce’s brother is close with Brian and so is Royce. Klever used half of a racial slur. Basically the word “nig” was used. Yelawolf didn’t “check” Klever according to Royce and never got back to him on the situation after it was told to Royce by Brian and Royce’s brother. Yela has mixed kids and a black wife. I know his mother. She didn’t raise a racist. Klever should have never said that yes but all this other talk about them both walking around saying it or yela saying the word with a hard “r” at the end or whatever is bullshit. Vlad said all that. If Yelawolf was walking around saying the n word with a hard “r” on the end someone would have picked up on it by now. He’s worked with the biggest names in hip hop. This is all gettin blown out of proportion.

omg, if that's really the meat of the issue this is a brutal look for Royce to have put it on wax. Yela not checking his dj and not apologizing to Royce for it later. Weak. Unless a slur was projected at him directly, why is he so sensitive. If you claim to be some grown up adult who is against all the negativity in his world and keeps everything positive, then get in touch with the man and let him know how you feel directly. This is beyond childish on Royce's part unless there's really more to it than this.

Haha royce makes me laugh saying hip hop is the most embracing culture. Ah you kidding me. Soon as a new artist comes along someone in the game as problems with them.

Matthew Bishop I thought the same exact thing. “Embracing cultures” don’t run around and label everyone who isn’t black a “culture vulture” or accuse them of stealing what “they” created. Hip Hop is one of the most unwelcoming if you aren’t from a certain decent.

The fact is black do not own hip hop nor does whites own countrey or rock music. That's my opinion I dont think rap should just be considered just alart of the culture of black people. I mean yes its definally their but it's also part of the white culture as will. Hell its apart of american culture.

Royce took a huge step back from yela. I'm sure they worked it out enough to be civil. But. He can't not expect that level of comeback from yela. Royce went after the man's check. Anybody come at me sideways and try to stop the way I feed my family. What ever you said coming right back at you hot!
