I’m a self taught makeup artist and my full time job is a lash tech. I did my best friends wedding party makeup for free as well as host where we all got ready as I was the maid of honour. It was a nightmare. I spent 3-4 hours doing everyone’s makeup including my own as my poor house got trashed and my bff kept nagging at me to go faster... I’ve not done makeup on others since..

It's the "magic word" mentality we're taught as kids. Please and thank you are the magic words. Little kids get confused sometimes, thinking that if they say please and thank you, that means they will always get what they want. "But I said please and thank you!" You have to teach them that it's important to say please and thank you, but it doesn't mean you will always get what you ask for. I guess some people never learn that lesson.

In a way he's right though. Anyone can do a logo in 3 minutes. Even I can do one with absolutely no training and no skills in art and drawing whatsoever. It will, of course, be one of the crappiest logos ever designed, probably drawn on a napkin with a ball-point pen, and be totally unusable for any purpose except maybe for making one look ridiculous for using it anywhere. But hey, it's a LOGO. And it only took 1/20 man-hours to make.

I actually feel bad for the shop owner who was so kind and generous to help a stranded person and also used his own car (fuel cost) to get the vital supplies and some food for the choosing begger. It's pretty rare to find kind and helpful people thesedays. Moral of the story: There are always two sides to a story.

Do you even know what boomer means? No. You don't. It means baby boomer. The generation that started in WW1 and ended shortly after the Korean war. It's also a stupid AF attempt at an insult because they were the last generation to actually fight a war and not a conflict or operation (Conflict/Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, etc) and they will be more badass than any generation after them. So maybe before you try a weak ass "comeback" actually try to use a term you understand.

@@DocR16 Well most of the babyboomers where a result from after the war. Boomers did in fact not experience the war it was the generation before them. That fought in world war 2. There was however the Vietnamese war but, going into military was not mandatory as it was before. Since the country is now rebuild and the USA gives out a huge Marshall support lie become, super easy for most people. The person above you was revering to someone with that mindset and, do in facts get their facts straight. You however do not! Next time: If you want to correct some get your facts straight.

As a developer i'm siding with the designer because they are right: Designer's and developers are two very different things and I have nothing but the highest respect for people who design stuff professionally and I seriously hate people like that developer because I know how hard it is for a designer, I'm not a designer myself and if I ever want a professional to design something then I will happily pay full price, or if I can't then i'll wait until I have the money then request it.

No one is talking about how amazing this mechanic at the end was. Went out of his way to drive to get the part, being as cheap and fast as possible, took a payment that he would never do and even gave her food. What a legend and I’m so sorry that he had to put up with her audacity to leave a shitty review.

For those curious on the coffee CB, for one the nice guy didn't get all 70 a gift card just the 10 he works in his office so he didn't bankrupt himself, also he was fine at the end of the day and the CB got chewed out by management for her selfishness.

When my husband and I got married, we invited family and a few close friends and sent announcements to everyone else; we paid for the wedding and the "reception" was just a bunch of us at the nearby diner for brunch. And twenty-one years later it is still one of our fondest memories.

That first one sounds so like Chris Thompson in Norwich England. Gets everything he demands, and more, then goes out looking to buy a car. He has no money, but agrees to buy a Fiesta, next stop is me. 'lend me £9000 to pay for a car I've agreed to buy' Teddy goes out the window when I say no.

That one with the dog happened to me. I can’t find the messages because it was 2 almost 3 years ago but I was rehoming my dog and he needed extreme training because he was a stray at the beginning of his life and had very wild tendencies and needed someone who could put in 8+ hours a day with him. I was in TN and someone responded to my ad and was handicapped and got so mad I wouldn’t give him to them. They couldn’t use their legs at all and lived alone and thought I was lying that he needed training because “they’ve had dogs before” and “no dog is that bad they’re domestic creatures”.
