Couples without children should be banned from Disney World Mothers with children should be allowed to skip all lines. What a hilarious sight that would be to see mothers arguing about who gets to cut the line first because I have chiiiiildrennn!!!!!!

I think the waxer has a reasonable boundary, even if the source feels kinda sus. And props for offering to help Alex find a different provider, but I also think Alex was right to be upset by this. No one is out of line, here.

I'm glad the furry case she realised you don't need to share all hobbies. My wife has 0 interest in games or any of my music. I'm not dragging her to LANs or sleep token concerts. She'd hate it, and that's fine.

Story 2: OP is being abused. Her calling it abuse not only gaslights OP but is hugely disrespectful against every abuse survivor, ever. She is a horrible person and it's time to get out. She is going to accuse OP of a bunch of stuff and he needs to be very careful.

The second story mostly sounds like the Dad doesn’t know how to react or help his daughter is a safe and productive manor. That being said, I completely agree with what rSlash.

My girlfriend is blind in one eye. It's been that way since she was a young child. She doesn't remember a time when she had two working eyes. Yet, she isn't constantly bumping into anything. And she's never mentioned anything like that to me. Did the OP of the second story go blind in one eye later in life? Is that the difference?

Family Traditions is up there with Tree Law. There are *consequences* for breaking faith with deceased relatives' traditions, especially cherished family recipes. The memory of enjoying something only Mom could make is powerful. Mom's gone, so is her cake. What's left is a warm memory you can recall whenever you want. It defies rational debate. We're not gonna try Mom's recipe, Dad, but if you decipher the clues on Mom's recipe, fine. But selling it to a *bakery*? How could you Dad? Don't even tell us how much they gave you., we'll just get upset again.

Gut feeling story, while going for the school bus my cousin walked under a ladder, I was roughly 13 yrs and she would be 14. After that I suddenly felt sick. I still went on the bus to school. About 500 yards from school a car (mum, dad and kids) pulled out in front of the bus and pulled into a petrol station just up a bit and opposite side of the road. The bus driver was really angry that we all had nearly been in an accident. It was his reactions that saved us. A double decker full of kids. I felt better before I reached the school. I have had a few almost psychic moments in later life. My friend used to call me a witch when I asked when her son( Friend was English and living in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) son still lived in England with his dad was going on his next travels( previously he had traveled to India for a joint cricket tour along with taking charity stuff to poorer parts of the country. Next day she said he had called saying he would be traveling through Canada,America and Hawaii for 3 months. Friend was a mama bear to anyone younger than her. One of the kindest women I ever knew. 🥰

listen man. fat people can be perfectly fit and healthy, the bar is higher than people think, but when it gets to the point where you can't fucking Walk? You need to lose weight. That's the weight where your body starts killing itself under the struggle of living like that, not to mention the struggles of independent living. That's not anybody's problem but hers and OP is not the asshole at all. I literally don't even know how people become that obese to begin with

The folks who ask if a person with primo seat would be willing to switch for their crappy one are delusional. The pregnant gal could have paid extra for a roomy seat too, but chose to depend on the kindness of strangers. I can tell you that most people getting on a 12 hour flight don't want to sit in a cramped seat, but there are only so many nicer seats to go around. Plan better next time, or suck it up and quit complaining. Your poor planning is not my emergency.

Every time I hear that last story I think of the Chevy Chase movie, Funny Farm. At a pivotal part of the movie, Chevy, who has been struggling to write a book, steals his wife's manuscript and passes it off as his own. She was so proud of her work and was devastated he could do this to her, but like this idiot, he doubled down.

My biggest issue with the 2nd story is how Brett was outed. The daughter should be punished for trying to sneak into a nightclub. Brett should be punished for trying to sneak into a nightclub. But Brett should not have been outed as gay. That part was not necessary.

Cake story: I think the kids see that cake, or more correctly... the recipe, as being a piece of their mother and they're just not ready or willing to share her at this point. Not sharing and being "selfish" with the recipe kinda keeps her close... in the family. On the other hand the father wants to expresses how he feels with a willingness to share and celebrate her, via the cake/recipe. Perhaps he could help smooth it over with the kids by asking the bakery to name the cake after his late wife.

In my opinion, the optimal thing to do in the airplane situation is to negotiate for a flight voucher that's 2-3 times the extra price. Even if it doesn't work, for some reason people feel better about a failed negotiation than an outright rejection.
