next up removing the hideous boat anchor of a motor mount and installing one from me! Man I hated cleaning up the left side to see the stock mount. My first mods back in the day were exhaust, hidden caliper and building a clean motor mount to show off the motor. After all that I had a pile of garbage and lost a huge amount of wieght in the process. Great Work as always and I'm sure this is going to help people for many years and years. KyleNV

Haha. Nothing like sinking all that work in for a beautiful left side with an ugly ass mount!! Definitely need one of those beautiful pieces on my bike to showcase your work.

I chopped the bend off mine and painted the raw metal. Has lasted for 4 years and looks factory. Sand, roughed up, primer paint, krylon gloss black, heated in an oven for a quick dry.

Awesome video! Very helpful to clean up that left side! Do you have any pics of the entire left side of the bike to give it some context or a kind of before and after of what it looks like? It would nice to see how the removal effects the overall aesthetics of the bike. Thanks!

Good tip is to use nylon soft jaws in a vice and alloy spanners, that way there is no way you can mark your nice fittings.

nice vid mate! Just a tip from my side: I always use a squirt of break cleaner to lube up hoses right before i mount them... the benefit is that it evaporates after mounting giving a tighter fit... where greasy lubes stay in and keep it slippy.. hope it helps! cheers!

I'm currently working on my 02 warrior. I've had to pull the fuel pump and replace all the fuel lines. I've also got most of the bike tire down for new paint. I've got a lot going on besides this bike, mostly family issues. During all this I removed all the fuel lines to replace them. I've forgot where all the lines go and the routing of them. Can someone please send a video or some pics that will get me back to where I need to be. I just need to know where they go from the fuel pump. Thanks.

Hey there! Great video! Are you using any type of bracket to secure the right side of the dry break?
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 5 жыл бұрын
Hey John, thanks for watching! I'm not using any bracket right now, and I'm still using the stock motor mount as well. I plan on upgrading to the KyleNV motor mount, but haven't gotten there yet. It really doesn't seem to rattle or rub a whole lot, but may actually look at it and see if I think it could use one. Thanks for the comment and idea! Stay safe!

Hey Bryan, i've had an 02 for a couple of years now. Always wanted to do a vbak, this may be a stupid question but do you need a fuel tuner as well? Or is the intake difference small enough to where a stock tune is fine? Thanks.
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 4 жыл бұрын
Definitely want to get a tuner as well. You can get by without one, but the bike won't run to it's potential and likely run lean which would cause it to run hotter. I'd suggest the power pro black, but only because it's completely auto tune. Set it up and never have to really mess with it again. It is pricey though, so if that's not an option, I'd check into a used power commander three or something that will still allow you to change the air fuel ratio.

Hey Alex, thanks for the compliment! This conversation was literally being had on Facebook earlier. I went with Vibrant Performance which is a little more expensive, but there are also many other alternatives. Jiffy Tite also makes a quick release, but in my opinion, none looked as good as the Vibrant Performance does. I had actually ordered mine from jegs, but was searching around and seems they are all pretty much around the same price. Amazon seems a few cents cheaper on the straight connectors, but other than that it's all about the same price. I believe your bike is blue, so don't think you'll want my exact set up. going to include some amazon links to everything, but i'll be doing the black and blue hose, and black and blue connectors instead of black and red. this was the most expensive part of my left side clean up. Like I said, there are many other options that come in cheaper, this is just what I went with myself. Also, you can check with Jegs and Summit as well and see if it's any cheaper. Black and Blue 8an Fuel Line 2 Foot- amzn.to/2CECQKD Vibrant Performance Quick Release 8an- amzn.to/2D4gFyu Black and Blue Male Connectors- amzn.to/2SdIadc Hope these links help, and if you have any other questions get back to me.

No problem at all! Glad I could help. A lot of people will swear by an wrenches. The pieces are aluminum and if you're not careful, they will scratch easily. I just used the two adjustable wrenches and made sure that I was very careful not to slip on it. Other than that, the only other advice I have is to be careful connecting the hose to both the reserve thank and the elbow under the tank. The elbow is a known leak point in a lot of bikes, and the reserve tank has a plastic fitting that can snap if not careful. The hose is definitely a tight fit, so be sure to lube it before trying to connect.

Nice! Glad that I already had links for you. Hope the prices and everything on them are still good. Thanks for watching the video also, I hope it's able to give you an idea of how to do the mod. It definitely makes that left side look good, and adds a little more custom look to it. If you run into any problems, feel free to get with me and I'll see if I can help. Thanks again, stay safe!

Use a section of heat shrink on the ends that you are going to clamp down.

Brian is there a reason for the dry connectors? For tank break away? Couldn't you just do a 1 piece line from fitting to fitting?

Hey man that's an awesome look. Can you explain what the purpose of the "dry break" is?
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment. The dry break is just a quick release for the fuel line for when taking the tank off. Keeps any fuel from spilling out. The factory dry breaks have a tendency to crack after a while so it’s a good idea to at least watch for leaks if not replacing. Thanks again and I hope this reply helped answer your question.

Hey Bryan, thanks for the video!! Can you tell me what the left side clean up is for? Whats the advantage? Thanks again, your very good at explaining things.
@RSWarriorBryan
@RSWarriorBryan 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Alex, thanks for watching the video! As far as the left side clean up goes, it's mainly just for looks. The OEM dry break on the left side can crack after time, but it's just something you should watch out for, not necessarily dire to replace. Many people will actually steer away from the mod because it takes away the left side scoop which helps to deflect air to the rear cylinder. Me personally, I decided running a little hotter was worth the way it all looks in the end. I really appreciate you watching the video and commenting! Ever have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Hey David, tjanks for watching. Mine stuck the very first time I went to pull it apart and hasn't had a single problem since. I have also heard of it happening to a couple of others. One said that when he pulled his apart, the rubber o ring inside was halfway out and he had to send it back to be replaced. Can't remember exactly what I did to get it apart, but maybe tried putting it back together and pulling it apart a few times. Definitely keep me posted on of you can't get it apart and I'll se eofno can figure something out.

Hey Martin, thanks for watching! I apparently need to update that link. There is another link for just black line in the description also. The size is actually AN -8. I believe that is something like .44" inside diameter. You could probably go with a half inch inside diameter and be okay, the -8 is pretty snug. Hope that helps out! Thanks again!
