Well to be fair it’s hard to say if Yhwach meant it in a literal or metaphorical way only by reading the manga, and to this day there are people discussing possible theories about it

Tbh whilst this is true it’s never truly explained how he is his son, like did he have a wife? Was it just immaculate conception kinda like Jesus using the womb of a woman? Etc etc Personally (and this may sound a bit grotesque) I think Yhwach is a piece of the soul kings body gaining sentience & taking form We saw the preview of the sperm travelling & basically forming Yhwach in a kind of womb, personally I feel that (similarly to the story of Uranus with Aphrodite) I believe that when the soul king was cut up he was castrated & his penis then fell upon the land & found; and with its sentience took the form of a man temporarily & planted his seed in a woman to create an offspring (this form it took was drastically less powerful then the soul king but had the dna means within it to create another that could come closer to the original power the full body had) The form it took succeeded & shortly after the form was confronted by 4 of the 5 noble clan leaders & Ichibei Hyosube and brutally cut down & sealed away in a destroyed state as they anticipated something akin to this could be a possibility

Things you can pick up from the flashback explained: -Yhwach is his real son -Yhwach's motives -The flashback takes place before the first invasion -Ichibe stated that his left hand was actually the soul king's hand. When he used it's power that double eye appeared, same one that Yhwach eye's had (meaning Yhwach must have some of Soul King's power as well) before Ichibe sealed them away and they turned to back to his normal eyes in exchange for the soul king's hand. This is why he didn't have those eyes in the first invasion against the old Gotei and Yama and lost to them. Their power is revealed later, although it's clear the power is linked to sight and seeing things from the hints in this episode This was an anime only scene, manga didn't expand on his motives or why he didn't use those eyes in the first invasion

That must mean Yhwach is Ichigo’s real dad cause he got called “son” The timeline of Reio’s seal and Yhwach’s birth don’t line up.. One is about a million years, and the other a few thousand. He may have been born with a fragment of Reio, just like how other characters have been, and that fragment probably contained the power of the “eyes” But in no way does that mean that he’s his real son.. just like how Aura and Matsumoto and fullbringers aren’t his real kids

First of all, can you please provide evidence with the original source "when" Rei-O sealing process "time" was exactly stated and also Yhwachs "time" of birth? Gege just lifted a bunch of bleach characters he liked who were complete jobbers and made them fan faves in his series. Cang du is literally toji But tbf little known fact kubo did the same thing with his inspiration with saint seiya. I haven't seen it but theres a scene where a dude ruptures his eardrums to block a sound based move like mask did. But unlike mask that guy still loses so kubo was probably like in my story hes going to win.

That proto Gojo is still pretty powerful, dont forget he still a quincy, he can manipulate/absorb reishi or whatever in anime they have, like magic/chakra/curses. This Episode is brought to you the namesake of this part: The Separation Those first few mins before jumping back to the present is completely anime original and gave us something that we didn’t get till the end of the manga: Yhwach’s Motive of unifying all the worlds of existence, Life & Death and ending this current world of “deceit” or rather The (S)Xeparation of Reality. What was shown was an ancient past diplomatic meeting between the Quincy King and The Progenitor Soul Reaper Monk Who Calls the Real Name gone wrong. The fact that we got it now along with his signature ability (which shall be named and revealed in the finale) that was taken from him shows that they truly care about fleshing out the source material as much as possible when we’re only about to be halfway through this anime arc, making this one of the best anime adaptations. They’ve been having to sacrifice a lot of fan service comedic gag fluff in the manga and streamline/condense a lot of the dialogue for the sake of the overall tone and appropriate pace for a war to end all of the consecutive back to back action throughout this 2nd invasion of the arc, they know exactly what they’re doing but unfortunately many people are quick to jump to conclusions looking at it from an episodic basis instead of looking at the bigger picture, as if the pacing is out of whack or sacrificing the comedic tone takes away from “the heart of Bleach” while that was certainly a part of OG Bleach, it’s always had this darker and spiritual tone “Less is More, Poetry in Motion”, that’s the true essence of BLEACH. Next week is an anime original fight with our very own Quincy + Bleach’s Battle Of Gods.

In the flashback YH took the Soul Kings’ hand. That’s why Ichibe said you thought you could take the hand for free. In exchange for the hand though ichibe disabled YH Almighty ability. Which is why ichibe said your eyes will be closed until the day you die. That’s why he lost the fight against Yamamoto the first time 1000 years ago.

Actually Ishida is the one that allowed Y.H to escape. We see him use is power on is eyes when they arrive to the fake palace”. If you notice when Y.H teleports they give a long focus on Ishida and when Ichibe says “so you have the power to escape” he is looking down (where Ishida is) even tho Y.H is already above him.

Who is spreading this misinformation??? Nowhere was it mentioned that it was his actual dad.. he called him “father o mine” just like how he called Ichigo “my son born in the dark” and just like he is “the father of all quincy”.. He may have his blood or fragments of his power “A”, but just like how having parts of Reio didn’t make Aura his daughter, it doesn’t make Yhwach his son.. Squad Zero shows up and goes off, especially Ōetsu and his sick blade. I love all the crazy abilities that are on display. Shit is so damn crazy now! And it’s just the beginning. [Tidbits & Clarifiations][Lotta reading my bad] - This entire opening sequence between Yhwach and Ichibei is exclusive to the anime. We get some pretty important details, Ichibei seemingly is using the Left Hand of the Soul King and Yhwach can't use whatever his abilities are to see through the Soul King. Further, we now see who and how Yhwach abilities became "confined" (Basically Yhwach absorbs the left hand which in turn seals his Ability) - With the added scene we get additional context as to what Yhwach motives may be. He seems to be upset about how the three realms came about and he claims that his father, the soul king has been put through humiliation. - The Flashback scene takes place in the World of the Living, it's the Licht Reich which is the Quincies empire. Ichibei was their to negotiate, which is crazy to think because it seems that 0 Squad rarely leave the royal palace unless it's very important. - The lines "I can see it all" and "I'll show you" is a great expression of their seperate ideals Yhwach is someone who looks forward and seeks a new future, whereas Ichibei knowns and sees the worlds as it is and wishes to maintain the status quo - We see Uryu activate something, so it's proper to speculate what is it he did or is doing. - A scene is removed where Yhwach arragontly ignores Senjumara and steps leisurely pass her, it was a cool scene that express Yhwach's defiance against the Soul Palace and everything they stand for. - When Yhwach escapes the Cage the camera seems to hone in on Uryu, many have speculated that it is Uryu's unknown ability that allowed for that to occur. The cage makes it impossible for things that have reishi to escape so whatever ability allowed him to get out must be quite strong. (This isn't how it occurred in the Manga so we don't know either) - Sidenote the anime seemingly makes huge changes because certain events in the manga which occurred in a certain manner have simply been completely changed, so even we manga readers have no idea what may happen at this point. - Sidenote 2 some people think Yhwach is being metaphorical when he says "my father" but given the fact that he has the same eyes as the Soul King, it's to be assumed that Yhwach is in fact the son of the Soul King. There is still an implication that Yhwach was saying in "Father, our father" because he is kinda "the father of the Quincys" because technically Rei-O is the ancestor of all Quincys/Fullbringers and even Shinigamis that aren't decendants of the Royal clans. And we only saw a woman who looked like Reishi, who was holding Yhwach as a baby. We didn't really see Soul King or any father figure other than the women. So again, my point is not that "im" saying he's not his father, my point is that there are implications that he might not be and that's why it's normal for "people" to still speculate if he is. And by the way, not everybody had read the manga

As a anime only It was clear the beginning was a flashback due to its coloring & the setting He had troops around that no longer exist. I think it's really cool that Bleach represents black people characters so well. I notice that a ton of people who react to Bleach on KZfaq are black. I guess it shows they are doing a good job of representation if a lot of black people are watching. I'm not black but I believe in the importance of all races and identities of human beings are properly represented and acknowledged especially and including minorities.

This shit was so sick. It was savage in the manga but the way it continued on soured it a bit so i only remember that and not how cool it was. But if the anime is going to come through then we are getting 2 more episodes of this heat. The royal guard and squad 0 are all so good looking. Lille and oetsu honestly some of the coolest designs in anything ever. And now wellz and us are in the same boat as the other 4 don't know for sure exactly what's happening next. The episode count sucks and the rushing and the cut content sucks and i'm never letting that go but man did they really do some things right in this anime. The additions are fire. Everybody correcting wellz about the soul king's son aren't necessarily right themselves. Cause the soul king is got sealed away 1 million years ago. And yhwach is probably only a few thousand years old. So its not possible for him to be the biological son.
