Not really. Since they changed the hammer travel from 30 mm to 15 mm, in my experiences the gun is not very hold sensitive. But in any case, the accuracy that this gun can achieve, constancy is the key and every minor difference will have some effect so everyone should experiment and see what they have to do to get the top end results...

Hi. Prophet is using s different spring because of the shorter hammer travel. Hammer is the same weight but not the same shape so they are not interchangeable. I did not measure the spring tension in the video, the information I gave is how much is the adjustment screw recessed in the but plate. I will make a separate video on power adjustments...

Yes, there is some leading but not that much since the barrel is Poly with slow twist. Personally, I do not lube the pellets, I just clean the barrel approx. every 500 shots...

Hi. Regulator is improved. In my tests, the regulator reaches the set pressure in about 3-5 seconds. It does have some creep but no more than any other regulator, the only difference is that you see it on this gun because the gauge has a very fine scale. Till now, I tested .22 with long range barrel (my favorite for pellets) and .25 with standard CZ barrel. I was told that .177 and .30 will be available as well. I will probably get those barrels for test and video soon...

I believe it is standard M12 thread so it should be 1.75 mm per 360°. I measured using a caliper...

I was changing the hammer spring tension and to show results at different power levels (with same pressure setting). This is why I wrote the hammer spring nut displacement in millimetres on the screen...

My usual explanation is like this. If you know anything about firearms, a semi auto will most likely never be as accurate as repeater or single loader... It is similar with airguns. Now the K1 is an extremely accurate gun and so is the Prophet so I would suggest you take a look at other features each gun has to make a decision (sem auto, loading, power, projectiles...). It is impossible for me to decide. I think I would go crazy if I only had to pick one :)...

The answer depends also on how far you want to shoot and if it is a poly or standard barrel; choked / unchooked. In my experience with standard twist poly give better results at high velocity and standard rifling with tight choke will require the smallest velocity. The velocity at which the pellets is still table will also depend on the pellet itself (not all Monster Redesigns are the same).

Although I have not tested the 2020 version yet, I assume the reg is about the same as on slightly older model I have. I would recommend using it as it is set form the factory.

Very true. I prefer to use classical Chrony as with it, I know where the measurement takes place. Radar will measure velocity V0 at the closest distance it is able to detect the pellet and that will not be very close to the muzzle and also the distance will vary form shot so shot a bit an this can have a major influence on the data. I did however had the radar quite close, I was slightly behind it to make sure the microphone is triggering properly but the camera makes it seem like it is further away.

I would try to give them a go, but for best performance, I would always choose the JSBs.

Clockweise is increase of pressure and anti-clockwise is decrease. When you decrease make a little turn with the allen key and fire 2 dry shots. Do not turn the regulator more than max a half turn. I am shooting at 160 bar and the hammerspring dialed in for 12.5 mm at 300 m/s. 125 bar and 11.1 mm dialed in at 285 m/s . I shoot JSB Monster Redesigned. Find the right mix between pressure and hammerspring tension. Good luck. I also look forward to the video of Gregor.

I don't clean the barrel much but frequency of cleaning depends on pellet velocity. With higher velocity, you will need to clean it more frequently. Also it depends on type of barrel you have; long range barrel (poly) need less cleaning than standard barrel.

Two thing san be the reason for this: power: Monsters prefer high velocities close to 1000 fps. Second is more likely: check what type of Monster pellets you have. The newer batch seem to have a deeper skirt and those are not as accurate as original Monster Redesigns.

Hm, if I understand you correctly, you bought a sub 12 ft/lbs gun but it shoots too much bellow that power? I would advise that you contact your dealer in this situation. I don't have experiences with sub 12 FPE guns, I believe that they use TP flow restrictor but I am not sure...

Just adjust the hammer spring to get the velocity you want, don't pay attention to the position of the screw as RTI have made several different versions where the position is different but the effect is the same.

This gun won 2019 50 yards EBR competition (my gun in hands of Francisco) and I also managed to get the highest score at 75 (240/250 with 10x). That was done with long range pellet barrel and Monster Redesigns. I have a video about it. That is the only time I ever went to any competition... There a plenty of guns that can win competition, but I don't think any of the people that do win just picks up the gun and go to competition. They first get to know the gun and ammunition, practice and tweaks the gun. This gun (as well as the newer versions) have plenty of possibility to set it up to be worthy of competition.

Once I have seen you comment, I inspected the original footage in slow motion. The pellets are completely stable, that is the main purpose of this barrel. The target holes are not perfect due to the paper properties and pellet head shape (you can check my other videos, you will see that the holes are not perfectly round, the paper gets teared). I have seen a lot of spiraling pellet till not but never bumbling. The explanation behind this is that even if a pellet is not gyro stabilized, it will still try to fly head first due to drag / flare stabilization. I have never seen a pellet hit the target enough sideways for it to be seen on the target hole. This is however possible with slugs. Also, if they were not stable, you would see this in their flight trajectory; it would not be straight (parabolic), they would spiral...

I used about 317 m/s (1040 fps) I believe. But you Monster Redesigns with shallow skirt. Try to find a batch that has shallow skirt...

I only find the deep skirted pellets They work well Quite accurate I did try normal monster 25.39gr they have not so deep skirts but they was very inaccurate

@@gregorkamensek3923 I have batch of 2-3 years old bought from Holland, Spain and Portugal and the first time I saw them redesigned with short skirt was in this video. I have several problems with my prophet. The regulator increases 20 bars from day to night, which seems to have found a way of not happening (still in tests) and when I have the right pressure on the regulator I need to fire 4 shots first for the speed to be right (I don't understand why this happens). Another problem was the force that I had to use to arm the hammer ... I solved it by polishing the hammer (I removed the black color) with fine sandpaper. Now it is almost at the level of FX weapons. Smooth as a feather.

The long range barrel is designed for pellets. It's twist rate is not fast enough for slugs. If you want to shoot slugs, get a regular barrel.

Hi. I don't have any new information regarding Redesign pellet. I am still shooting old batches thanks to Francisco stock of Edgun brand Redesigns... I am sure I will have some more videos on the Prophet performance .22 with long range pellet barrel in the future. EBR is out of the question unfortunately due to travel restrictions of the USA.

Hi Gregor I bought some Edgun Redesigns from Francisco. Asked for the "good Ones".I measured them, you mentioned 5,57,I measure 5,50/5, 51 with a really good caliper.And the grouping is not that good.. I already had JSB redesigns measured them the same result, they also look the extactly the same.

Hi Gregor the groups are, 4,82/3, 64/4, 12/6, 47/3, 81/4, 69/5, 69/1, 92cm 5shots ctc @100yards indoor. Setting of the Prophet, 160bar 295m/sec. I measured the dept of the skirt, with a cheap caliper, and the JSB I have for sure do not have a deeper skirt than the Edguns. Gonna drive to a friend this Afternoon to Measure them exact. I now have the gun set @ 175bar/305 m/sec Where the Max speed now is 319m/sec(hammerspring turned in) So that should be good +-10m/sec bellow Max, yep I Saw you're video on the settings. Gonna test this setting this week.I also have upgraded my scope from a Vector Optics Veyron 4-16x44 to a Vector Optics Taurus 4-24x50 .The Veyron was slighty to less for my bad eyesight with the bad Lighting indoors. Sure thing, everything is interchangable, just note that inner diameter of Prophet's shroud is smaller, so you need smaller spacer for the end of the barrel and vice versa (or use the one you have in current barrel)

Yes, it can. Actually I talk about that in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebaHgquZrMnIaH0.html it will fit in length, only thing you need is a different spacer in the front as the Prophets shroud is thicker (outer diameter is the same, inner diameter is smaller).

On RTI page you have retailers. Power will be announced when it it properly tested in that specific caliber.

I assume you are talking about .22 cal. Yes you can if you have the performance version and you set the pressure to about 180 bars and appropriately also the hammer spring tension. My favorite setting is at about 80 joules with Monster Redesign. It is the most accurate gun I have till now. It there is not too much wind, I can shoot 2,5 cm target at 100 m with hit probability of about 90%.

You are right, but this way, you see exactly what I am able to see through the scope since the camera for the targets is right above me. You can also see the pellet in flight and the amount of mirage that is created by the water vapor on this hot summer day and many other thing you would miss out if the camera was by the target... A am aware that some people would prefer a camera close to the target but this is my setup and I chose it specifically because I didn't like that sterile look of just two close up cameras where synchronisation makes it possible to "cheat" when it comes to distances. Scope cam was an alternative to my method, but I find that most setups for scope cameras do not deliver good enough image quality so I stick to this solution (+ it is not very pleasant to shoot with most scope cam setups). Regarding target selection I somewhat agree with you, but again, the splatterburst targets that are very popular do not represent the true group size and they make the holes seem bigger and therefore make the group look smaller... They are very nice to see as they have excellent contrast though. I am boosting the contrast in the newer videos though so there is a bit more "pop"...
