Just got the new RTIC Backpack Cooler, couldn't find much info on it before my purchase so i figured i'd throw a video out there for anyone who may be interested. Full review will be coming soon!

Yeah i normally research everything before buying, this one was nearly impossible tho. Only used the cooler a few time so far but i love it. Thanks for watching!!

You mentioned this has strap loops on the sides, does it come with a shoulder strap too? If so, is it functional because of the dimensions? Thanks for the video.

I like the concept. I think it would be much better if they made this type of cooler smaller in size. Also nicer colors for men and women. It looks well made, but for the average person like your carrying a garbage can on your back. Great review though. :) Just my thoughts on product.

I agree! Pelican actually does make a smaller sling version, still bulky though. Thanks for watching!

Actually yes, just tested that out over the weekend. I'm 230lbs and it held up fine.

So i was able to figure it out Backpack Dimensions - 15x10x20 Carry on requirments: 9x14x22 Itd be close for sure.

How long does the ice last?

A lot of variables for ice retention but in my uses (beach, atv, etc) ive got a full day out of each use.

@@steve68vw I used this on a 3 day camping trip in Colorado. Held ice for 3 days even after sitting out in the sun on 70+ degree days, but chilly nights. A little extra ice and you are set. My friend brought his soft sided Yeti and it was comparable on ice retention at the end.

I wouldn't buy another rtic. The edges the top of my rtic40 came apart and that is a common problem other than the zipper issues. You see a bunch of Chinese design coolers with the same manufacturing process with brands like tourit... so im assuming the come from the same source in China. Rtics Customer service non existent and mine was still under warranty. I gave up and got a 2 yeti m30s and backflip 24. One thing to note is the rtics do outlast yetis in ice retention by some hours . The insulation is thicker and seems more dense.The liner in the rtic is colder with ice when compared and is a better conducter of cold. The latest yeti liners not so much though more durable. For example for the latest yeti soft coolers its only cold where the ice touches and just cool for the rest of the liner. for an rtic the whole damn liner is cold and fridgid. Higher quality liners definitely does not mean they perform better at keeping ice and colder drinks or food. With that said with yetis well known durability you can tell it will out last an rtic.
