We had enough!! We had to go and find the So Solid CEO Megaman to give him his well deserved flowers, for his part in paving the way for young people from the streets to earn an honest living doing music. So Solid definitely changed the mould, with so many members, all adding different flavours to the So Solid sauce.
Spray and Cream had the pleasure of joining Mega, his family and friends for a nice barbecue in the sun (BIG UP QWENG CITY) right in the middle of where he grew up.
After stuffing our faces with some lovely ‘Jerk Chicken’, we sat down with Mega and listened as he talked us through his upbringing and life story so far including the highs and the lows. The highs being times like getting a UK number 1 with ‘21 seconds’, getting individual deals for some of the artists, etc. The lows included Asher D going to prison for a gun and Mega getting locked up for 2 years on remand for murder, before getting found Not Guilty (another high) with his co-d Morgan getting found guilty and receiving 30 years (another low). FREE MORGAN, as Mega explains the outrageous injustice he was served and is still serving.
We spoke about Ayia Napa and how he met Northstar plus how he managed to get the island on lock. Megaman’s life and So Solid’s history is so deep that it would need a Netflix series but we did cover a lot of ground. When we get him back on the show for a proper episode in the studio, we can touch on anything we may have missed.
Mega is a businessman first and foremost. All about his business. Even music was and still is simply all about business to him. At the same time he has upheld his responsibility to his community by trying to steer the youth in the right direction.
This was an unfiltered reasoning filled with transparency and the banter is never far where Spray is concerned. Queen Icecream is Queen Icecream and will always bring that balance. Very good watch so don’t miss it!

You can see the maturity difference between Mega and Spray, Spray is often sidetracking the convo and making irrevelant jokes out of serious situations. If im honest it sometimes derails the conversation, Spray needs to learn to stop interrupting his guests so much and to stay on topic. 🌆

Since Mega has finally confirmed the motive and cause of the beef from so solids side, dizzee owes Wiley an apology. Wiley jumping man was a wrong and strong all for the loyalty and get back for dizzee after dizzee created the beef and disrespected their most protected member, but he acts like Wiley amped something up, when it was always up from the first fight.

Didn’t you listen he touched her. He saw mega they swung it out. Wiley did back it. But one of the roll deep/Pay as you go dudes backed out a knife. The next time the other saw Dizzee they stabbed him. After Dizzee saw mega and swung it out the beef was done in his eyes. Wiley rushing them and one of the boys pulling out a knife escalated this. That’s Dizzee problem his argument is happy to swing it out but no weapons

So solid didn’t like the grime movement because lyrically they were getting shat on. When the grime wave started emerging it bought through a whole wave of way more lyrical spitters with more flow and content and so solids little dibby dibby 1 line flows couldn’t keep up. They had there time and should of handed over the baton respectfully.
