Fun Fact: James was the true holder of The Superstar, and Mask De Masculine was a manifestation of what James considered to be his "ideal hero". Which is why YHWACH mentioned "James has died". As long as one of them was still alive, the other would come back to life. Add in the power-up and healing James could give Mask and it truly was a really broken ability.

Also how genius it is that the fall of such a superstar was not because renji killed him but because of his own hubris by killing james himself. If James was still alive he could've resurrected.

I can’t get over how well animated Mask’s attacks were. I loved every one of them, also how big of a personality him and James had, but ofc, the number one thing was how cool Renji was. Hands down my favorite episode in cour 2!

Kensei and Rose are legitimate captains. It's not that they are weak its just that Renji is a legitimate high captain level character. People actively avid the fact that a single James cheer was amping Mask and by the end Mask in manga has over 10 cheers against Renji but gets one shot by his true bankai. Vol standing is considered a 10 times amp so at bare minimum even if you disagree with the cheer power ups, Renji one shot someone who was 10 times stronger than the version of themselves who mopped the floor with two bankai captains.

I mean, let's not sit here and pretend that either Rose or Kensei were at their peak. Kensei still had his hollow mask and Rose hadn't even used his final move (which also could have been amped with hollowfication). Prolly would have been creamed later on tho but they should have had more fight in them.

I was confused when they said only one captain. It was clearly two captains. The REAL question that should of been asked is why didn't they mask up? The mask would have given them more strength and speed, perhaps enough to dodge or deflect Superstars attack. Lastly, why the hell did Rose explain his attack? You'd think being alive as long as they've been and being a captain would mean they have the experience to not share what their attack does.

They probably sensed the mask quincy’s spiritual pressure and decided they didn’t need their hollow mask (which was true at first). They both got caught off guard with the quincy’s jump in power, but it was too late. Also, since the beginning of time in anime people explain their attack/technique to their opponent for exposition to the audience. Always dumb imo, but still happens 🤷🏾‍♂️

Every soul reapers is very strong especially captains. They just don't know how to use full power / potential. Imagine if Kensei get training from squad Zero. He would be stronger than Renji. I know some people don’t like to believe that Renji became stronger than some captains but considering how easily he dealt with the same Mask that stomped Kensei and still easily dominated Mask through several more power boosts + Vollstandig, I think that speaks for itself. And while Kensei did have his hollow mask, I imagine the power boost he would gain wouldn’t be enough to have closed the gap between him and Renji to the point where he could dominate Mask at his peak of his power displayed the same way Renji did in his new Bankai.

It’s literally undeniable atp. Mask was blitzing Kensei and tanking all of his attacks after his initial amp then Renji comes in and deflects star flash in Shikai and dogs on Mask after he received ANOTHER amp (ear drums healed) while still in shikai, mind you and then Mask is amped by James for the final time (red mask) and he goes into vollstandig and shikai renji tanks everything he throws at him and one shots him in bankai

Wow! This episode was action packed. Renji dropped in like a badass and looked sick, also hearing Rukia say how James is no match for what he is now was awesome. I always wanted to see the panel of Renji calling himself a villain and So-Oh Zabimaru be animated. I need more ASAP!

It was foreshadowed that Renji was not using his Zanpakuto's true bankai in Soul Society Arc when Byakuya told him that it was early for him to use his bankai in battle and it would take 14 years of special training to master its movement. With the help of Ichibei and his training in Soul Palace, Renji finally achieved his true bankai and getting a redemption that he deserves. I also like Rose bankai but these Vizards cannot catch a break and always getting cooked lol.

For those that were impressed by these last 2 Eps animation, neither of them have been a priority as the big top-tier animation & high-stakes battles starts next week and for the next few weeks straight, so get ready for the main events as Bleach turns up for it’s birth month.

I wonder if Mask’s Schrift would work if anyone cheered for him or if it only has to be James who does it, because I can see it going either way. Seeing that James is the true Sternritter, it would make sense for him to be Mask’s sole source of power for James’ ideal hero. On the other hand, it could be possible for Mask to get stronger if anyone in general were to cheer for him, but it’s hard to imagine the other Sternritters wanting or even willing to cheer for someone like Mask.

Renji finally graduated from the vegeta academy of never being allowed to win by the author. Got a little bit of respect finally. Now chad gotta graduate too. And people might say it don't count cause she was fodder but he beat jackie in the last arc too. So thats 2 dubs in 2 arcs. He's been putting in work since the timeskip. Complete turn around from before where he took nothing but L's. He might actually be the only villain ichigo beat on the first try. Normally ichigo loses at least twice before winning. Instead he beat renji twice the first 2 times. The two captains who got murked were kinda cool i hope they get their moment at some point in the future. Mask felt way cooler in the anime than the manga cause of the voice but they still cut out some his best lines against renji so idk anime not perfect thats for sure. Did a lot of good and a lot of bad. This episode coulda easily been spread over 2. As if remembering the names weren't hard enough this arc make it even harder cause the names are all different nationalities and the letters don't get pronounced how they do in english. Haschwalth is german and its pronounced hashvalt.

tbf about the ear drum thing, They didn't know he could regen and it's kind of hard to expect someone to just permanently maim themselves, especially for something like their hearing which is important in battles. STILL shouldn't have explained it, but rules of anime are rules.

Seriously , Mask and James are annoying af to defeat. Unless they both disintegrated into dust , they can revive how many times they want. Luckily , James was the one who got into smithereen first , cause he can multiply his body, buff and heal Mask just by his cheering.

u shouldnt talk about rukia before u see what she can do, all who get training from the royal guard theyre powers sky rocket,stands to reason why renji became so powerfull.
