@@I_hate_you_Forza_motorsportstill fair to call the nearly 2 generation old 10gb, 7800xt raster equivalent GPU middy today. 10gb doesn’t cut it for 1440p ultra in some titles already: it’s over.

@@XpertPirate just means its pumping those frames/ that performance without hardly breaking a sweat. Less power, less heat. As to if its worth the upgrade- that is a complex and nuanced question that I dont feel qualified to answer.

@@XpertPirate I'd say it's worth the upgrade. I upgraded from a 5500 and it's so much faster. Your chip is better than my older one so I don't really know if it's a necessary upgrade. If you don't want a new AM5 motherboard, but want an upgrade, then the 5800X3D is a good option.

Hi 🙋 I don't get it. Why are you using DLSS during benchmarks? In that way resolution drops below 1080p, and we can't see how far 3080 can go. If VRAM isn't enough, you should still show it. If frame rate is unstable because of VRAM, fuck it, the card is bad, end of the story.

Hi 👋 I only activated DLSS if less than 50 FPS was achieved and the picture quality was not significantly worse due to DLSS. Upscaling is a good compromise in this case. But I agree with you, only 10GB VRAM is indeed a problem (see 10:19). Especially with future games, you have to make more and more compromises ...

@@BENCHMARKSFORGAMERS No its still not a problem!most people like to play on ultra settings while the difference to high is very small and sometimes that is all that is needed to lower vram usage,power consumption and have a fps boost!what most people have is the "upgrade syndrome"!Check out The Last of Us!Even without dlss...
