Looks like you do a good job. I prefer to install all of my reducers before the carpet is installed so that you don't have to peel the carpet back and glue it after the fact. The contact cement is definitely old school, and does a good job, but the power tape is used more often now no mess and no smell. Keep smiling.

Nice Video, yeah would suck cutting that short or having a mess with that glue.

what type of glue do you use for the carpet? Great video btw it was helpful and good presentation.
@FloorsbySouthernboys2 жыл бұрын
There are lots of different types of carpet adhesive, I would just get one that is 60% salads or greater, usually the runny stuff is not much count

You do good work. Will that glue work on pad to concrete?
@FloorsbySouthernboys6 жыл бұрын
it probably will but it's awful expensive to be used like that here is a link to the pad glue i use , wftaylor.com/products/touchdown-720/

Another way is for the rubber transition. If you can see a line on the top of the transition that's how far you can go with the carpet and the edge of the top transition is the least you can go without passing it. So you cut in between those two lines and you should be good .

So at ( 6:32 ) when you wipe the glue off your fingers onto the carpet, is that a PRO tip? LOL ( after thought - this was just a poke at humor ) Great vid, TY for doing it.
