How frustrating! Thanks for posting these. I have a bunch of mintabe chips I bought from NNOpals over on opal auctions. They are very small and pretty thin, with some really thin color bars. But, you never know, one of them could produce a nice stone that would pay for the parcel!

That's one of the reasons Mintabie tends to be cheaper than LR, and great Coober - there's way more hidden flaws than those do. Inner potch and cracks in the middle of the stone are often harder to see than sand.
