ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

I'll say it again, she has the "tear" in her voice that is just so very emotional. Yes, she's just a young girl, but Ruby seems like she's lived a thousand lifetimes. I saw that from that first song, "Cowboy's Sweetheart". And her voice has this proud and lonely sound like a pioneer about to face a long winter with six kids in a dugout. It's just in her bones.

This is one of the best performances of Desperado I've ever heard. This song is such a desperate plea from a loved one to a person who can't find their place to settle or a space of peace. Ruby Leigh has uniquely conveyed the emotion. For a 16-year-old, it's truly shocking how she can tap into the most delicate emotions in every song she sings. She IS INCREDIBLE.

When I was little. I remember listening to this song with my dad all the time. It was his favorite song. And I still love it to this day. A few years ago, he passed away from alcohol and this was the song. I chose to play this funeral. He passed away when I was 13 and I must say this is gotta be one of the best covers. I've heard of the song. I'm crying while making this comment it and I was crying while listening to it

This was a better performance then her last one, suits her more and love her storytelling of a voice and its gorgeous. I feel she will go top 3 or top 2 at least because she has country industry shes so good. Wouldn't be shocked if she does end up winning because we all know how america is with country artist

I thought this was her weakest song so far and I’m a huge fan I believe in Ruby to win but I think they challenged her with this to try to sing more Lullaby-like and she still had that extreme attention grappling vocal power and strength. I could tell at times this 16 year old tried to feel the song to be able to perform the mood and her lighter notes, the softer parts sounded like a shy girl, I know because I sing and I have that lack of self confidence I call stage freight and my voice does the same thing if I’m not thinking about the song it’s when I’m looking at the audience or stuck on drama that happened moments before I went on stage. I hope nobody is intimidating or bullying her because remember Hollywood has a reputation to try to morph people and Rubys already receiving body shaming comments as if that matters. I pray she is protected in the industry and as the years go by, just like Rebecca Black, she will grow and evolve and we will be able to hear it in her voice with her original songs. ❤

You really can tell how big of an influence Linda Ronstadt is on her performance style. Her first cover of Linda’s hits is my favorite, but this was still a strong performance.

I remember Jake Hoot did that song on this show and blew me away there, he won his season, Ruby absolutely nailed that song, she’ll be a fantastic singer to win The Voice this season! I absolutely love her voice and that song for her!
