too much skipped content the anime can fix that wih an anime movie

One thing people noted was that Nanahoshi represents old school isekai where the objective is to go back home while Rudeus represents new age isekai where the objective is to build a new life.

I think most normal people would prefer to go back to their original world just simply because aside of family, the culture, language and commodities would be sorely missed, hell even the most simple thing like food. This is one of the things most isekai get right because the mofos literally cry everytime they find rice exist in those worlds that got tped into.

​@@seifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee don't say normal because that is disrespectful to the people that have to change their lives every few years. Such as military people and immigrants. A lot of them have no choice but to up and leave their homes or places they established and change everything completely. Sure some can go back eventually but some can't. There was actually a time before modern-day work that people would go where work was and not stay in one place for too long. That used to be normal to many. It is only recently that people have been staying in place.

I am just waiting for an isekai where the summoned hero is not happy with being kidnapped. Even more so if the spell only works one way. Far to often is the protagonist ok with leaving the old life behind.

Rising of a shield hero started out like that. Then went typical isekai route after unfortunately. ​@@Gremalkin1979grimgar of fantasy and ash is more like sao , but has that sense of not super op characters, and shows realistic struggles and pains a group would likely go through.

I feel she also represents how a regular human (although she seems to be on the more intelligent side, by her knowledge or atleast application on circuits to magic circles and other scientific theory she was crafting her prototypes with) would feel in a fantastical world full of magic and demons while being transported with nothing but your previous knowledge, and somehow immunity to certain effects (orsteds curse)

@@Arun_Baliga Zero no tsukaima. mushoku was a web novel in nov 2012 , the ln for tsukaima "concluded" (the author died so it was technically unfinished until later on) in 2011. Zero no tsukaima features : obviously the mc getting isekaied, numerous love interests/fanservice , a beach episode (of sorts) , mc taking advantage of his isekai knowledge. While the formula is not exactly word for word the same as "modern" isekai I believe you can't really say mushoku is the progenitor, is not particularly the progenitor of the concept nor "all" of the recycled plot points typically found in current day isekai. But zero no tsukaima would be my example of why I don't think mushoku was the progenitor. Hell even things like youjo senki serialised before mushoku. For the record I am not saying mushoku wasn't influential, I just don't feel it to be correct to call it the grandfather or the progenitor. I don't think any 2000s series really has the right to be called that, the development of the modern isekai was too gradual of a process to attribute to any 1 particular series.

It's scary to think what level of power he would hold if the demonic eye he got was one that showed the mana particles. Then he could visualize practically anything he wanted.

@@itemboy6814 is not a problem of seeing it, is more knowing how it work, rudy dont know any medicine or how it work, the easy way of explaining it is the stone canon, he start making it more aerodinamic, giving the stone canon rotation, all of this thing that in our world makes sense in the world rudy is not, because he know this he can make the spells more powerfull or cast the spells with out incantation, he knwo for exampel how rain is make is the clouds the difference of presuere, all that things is what allows him to cast silently

That's Rudy's speculated reason, I don't think we have an official reason.

@@crthejediknightninja yes, but rudy is the voice we follow in the novel, so at least and until is proven other way that is the reason, but yes you are right is not fully 100%.

you shouldn't read the light novels it will ruin your life. You can't stop reading them. And then you realize just how much cut content there is in the anime. Sigh. Love to voice acting in it though. And the visuals are quite pretty.
