A very stylish and elegant skater that seesawed back and forth with Norbert Schramm...another favorite of mine and polar opposite of Rudi...two really good German champions and a treat to see this again...

I agree! These two skaters still stand out, 30 years later, with the unique contributions they have made to the sport. After seeing Cerne skate disco/pop programs for a few years (perhaps in an attempt to emulate the shift made by Robin Cousins...but it really didn't help Cerne very much, in my opinion), I was so happy to see him go back to his "roots" with this program--emphasizing his superb traditional artistry. The avant-garde Schramm and the classical Cerne--what a strong pair they were!
