Skygazer... Had to smile when I read u think there's something sexy about Adam Dalgiesh (Mr Marsden), because I've thought that many times while watching him in several series. But this episode especially, when he was talking to Jonah, the tramp, and Jonah said one day he would die with Dalgiesh's boots on (even though they were leather shoes)... and then the camera is on Dalgliesh as he grins at Jonah's remark.... My heart melted. He's so handsome, resonating such tranquility, an inner confidence, never showy or boastful, just pure confidence, respectful to all, keeps his negative thoughts to himself and is at peace with his thoughts, decisions and himself as a man. Do you think God actually made men like that? I've come close to finding TWO, one in the north, one in the south...lol. I loved them both deeply years ago. South is gone now, I still feel his arms around me and miss him dearly. One day when I see him in heaven, those arms will wrap around me once again with love. North is still around, but I'm bound in a way I guess, must not to poke at the embers that still burn in both our hearts. He's married, children, possibly grandchildren and I'd never want to cause a problem for him. We met once long ago so I could say I was sorry and tell him, I'll always love him more than anyone... He was my first. He actually admitted he still loved me too and had forgiven me long ago. I cried, he cried, he asked me not to leave. If I had stayed, it would have destroyed his family. I couldn't do that. I'm not that type of woman. We both said it felt like no time had passed after 20 plus yrs and we both said the other still looked the same...i know I didn't, but it was sweet to hear. It's been another 20 yrs and I came back 5 yrs ago... he doesn't know I'm here. I think of him daily, wonder how he is, how many grandchildren he has, or grtgrandchildren. I think about driving near his home, but dare not do it. My heart would shatter if he changed his mind and didn't love me the way I've loved him all these years. We wanted 4 children. I had 1 girl, he had 2 girls. I always thought we would have had beautiful children. We would have been great parents. In case you're wondering why I left.... My sister was killed in an accident. She and I had already lost our parents at a young age and her death put me over the edge. She helped raise me, was my best friend, so much more than a sister, our father had died 6 months prior. I thought I was going to lose it, I had to leave all the bad memories behind if I were to survive, and there were alot of bad memories. North said, when we finally saw each other all those years later... had you just asked me to go with you, I would have gone anywhere. How dumb I was at 19. Nothing I experienced in my life, other than Mr South many, many yrs later, was worth leaving Mr North behind. My point in telling all this to a stranger is... Think carefully, chose wisely, not from lust - lust fades and dies - it's the deepest part of your heart that knows when it's right. If there is any red flag, you take the small break in the heart and walk away til you find the soul mate meant for you. Mr Dalgliesh reminds me of Mr North in manner only; although, Mr North was tall. He was also very handsome, sandy blond hair, gorgeous smile. We're both in our late 60's now. Funny how an actor's grin can unfold a million memories in just a few minutes. Best wishes to you, wherever you are. Never give up on your dreams or goals! That's important!!! Be wise, safe and happy with yourself before you are even more happy sharing (and compromising) all of you with another. God bless. L :)
