I immediately zoned in on Rue praising Joan's staff, especially in the context of the Ellen fallout. Joan was always typecast as this crass, irreverent diva but I always got the impression that she took care of her people. She didn't try to change or mask who she truly was and that authenticity goes a long way, even with her gone. Positivity culture always turns toxic when it's forced and plastic. I'm actually surprised it took this long for the Ellen empire to start crumbling. Give me shows and interviews like this any day.

Joan was always a class act. I loved when she guest hosted on the Tonight Show. Unfortunately the fallout between her and Johnny Carson sadly put her in a bad light. May she rest in peace as well. Thanks for sharing this video. 2 class acts right there.

Italo Brancaccio Well, truthfully, what’s wrong with theater and TV? What’s so great about movies? In England actors do whatever is available and they feel drawn to whether TV, movies, or theater. It’s all the same to them, it’s a role. America has a divide among TV, theater, and movies but lately it’s opening up where no one is pigeonholed as a just a TV actress etc.

Absolutely underrated!! She doesn't even have a star on the dumb walk of fame, not sure why but it seems like a huge injustice. My favorite from her body of work is a play she did called 3 viewings, or 3 funerals, its on audible and its a bit like a radio program because its just three people telling their story, the other 2 actors are good as well, I highly recommend checking it out.

The Golden Girls is probably the best sit com of all time. Rose is hilarious with her stories, Dorothy with her dead pan look, but if you really watch the show, Sophia has some of the best lines! My all time favorite moment with Blanche, and one of my favorite episodes, is when she wanted to be a great Southern writer. After 3 days of no sleep cuz she has "writer's block" she wanders into the kitchen where Rose is separating the eggs yolks from the whites and putting all the yolks into a sandwich baggie to save for the "homeless people"... lol... but the best moment is when Blanche sees all the yolks in the bag and she just can't figure out what they are and keeps asking Rose what are these little balls of sunshine???
