In one of the adventuring parties for this season Brennen mentions of his character was so so nearly three small goblins and a trench coat, and I can't imagine that romance being as compelling.

Persuasion is my favorite book and the Netflix adaptation is complete dogshit. ACOFAF is my first Dimension 20 show and I absouloutrly love every minute of it. The regency vibes makes me feel like 16 again, reading Jane Austen in my college library.

Theres a bunch if reasons why Rue probably didnt want ti join Hob in the tree, but one mechanical reason would be that Hob mightve noticed that Rue is super heavy despite being so small

Oscar says later it's because if Hob had grabbed Rue's hand he would have felt their paw/claw because the glamour wouldn't have worked in that moment.

It's nice that we got a spot-on spiritual reboot of Persuasion in the same year that the kind of inept Hollywood one (just not the spirit of Persuasion) came out. Oscar and Brennan (and Aabria, obviously. And....dare I say Lou? I feel like he's shipped the characters as much as I have lol) have crafted something beautiful and meaningful about acceptance of self, finding reflections of ourselves in other people, and uhhh the importance of clear communication lol

I already knew Brennan was a great role-player, Oscar was an absolute treat. That person embodied and enacted all my best beliefs about the Fae. The heart (no pun intended) of hospitality and a being who wishes to teach. Bravo, Oscar Montoya, bravo!

I'll screamsob about Ruehob as much as the next person but I just wanted to highlight the way Aabria plays Wuvvy during the hunt, I adore the way her gaze darts between Rue and Hob, the way her voice sounds! Absolutely wonderful

Seriously I was never much into regency stories (mark it down to me being a filthy anti-royalist who rolls out the guillotine seeing lavish parties while people starve) but it is such a perfect match for a fey court game. The rumors and letters and rules of the court spin this perfect story. And this ship had me literally pause the show to scream into a pillow or walk around my place to cool off. It is so intense to watch these two, both wonderfully monstrous in their form and misfits in their court and how tender and caring they are with one another but Hob has NO IDEA how Rue feels and Rue doesn't want to cause him danger or ignore their duties. They make me both want to swoon and chew concrete.

Exactly, the last thing that I find interesting the merriment of the wealthy and privileged and the whole idea of regency stories makes me very uninterested. But the Hob x Rue ship makes me, a grown man, squeal in delight.

So funny to know Brennan’s thoughts after Adventuring Party. He loves creating romance story lines but didn’t anticipate this character having that which he created as comic relief. He tried it on with Andhera but realized there was no spark there. But then he just felt it with Rue and knew he had to go with it.

I JUST finished the season about 2 hours ago, and I spent the whole day crying because I hate endings and I knew I was going to watch the last 2 episodes today.
