Sadly the USA haven’t qualified for the World Cup in France in the autumn. Your focus must be to get a decent team for when you host the tournament in 2031. Don’t get despondent, you will make strides and USA can be a giant in the game.

America certainly have a potential för state rugby national championship and local clubs within states that select their elites for world cup championships from their national state teams. As USA is quite new to International Rugby, as hard as it was to watch, it was a necessary game for the USA Eagles to learn the reality of the mountain they’re climbing as newbies to International Rugby, but it won’t take long. If you want to feel good about American rugby…check out the USA 7s team..they are doing so good on the international circuit, even winning tournaments… The USA Eagles will only get better, and with the pool of players you have to choose from across the nation, that’s a scary thought!!!.. Plus Rugby USA have been bringing internationally renowned coaches from countries like England, Australia, South Africa, and of course New Zealand into the US to help bring the clubs and players, to the same level as it is worldwide.👍🏼👍🏼

The Eagles have slipped back in recent years, they were coming up, I don't know if it is neglecting the 15 man game for the 7's but it is a big disappointment to not see them in the WC this year. That game was also not against a full strength All Blacks squad. One thing I will say is that I loved their reaction to the Haka, it really looked like they wanted to be there and though the highlights didn't show it they didn't give up. There is the heart there, there is a foundation there just needs to be a little more.

The US will always be at a disadvantage as they haven't had rugby training since school. You have so many downs you don't build the stamina for the longer and wider field. Rugby players legs are generally much stronger than AFL players. My husband played Rugby at school and college. When I first went out with him I had a waist measurement of 18ins the same as one of his thighs. He was on the wings. One of those really fast ones nobody could catch so he's lucky not to have the knee problems ex players can suffer from.

One of the things to watch out for in rugby are 'mismatches'. I think any of the top men's teams would have beaten the US side by a comfortable margin, they have more experience of international competition, have more game plans, and the stamina to last. The one thing the teams like the USA really need is to get to play the top teams on a regular basis to push their basic standard up and up. The problem is the annual International rugby programme is very crowded.

You are taking on one of the world leaders in the game of Rugby, hell your player have balls just facing up to these guy's, let alone expect any sort of even game from them. You are going through a learning curve, you will get better and playing teams like the All Blacks is the best education.

The All Blacks are the most successful sporting team in the world, for any sport. Over the last 120 years they have won over 75% of the games they have played, and have beaten all other teams more times than being beaten by them. The US eagles are currently ranked 18th in world rugby.

This is not disappointing for USA. All backs is one of the best teams in rugby for years. Its nz national sport. And it's actually impressive that USA could score. So that's good :-)

In Rugby you need to be committed to make a tackle. It's gonna hurt but you also stop them scoring

The problem with you saying you want them to have a come back the longer the game goes the fitness levels start to come back into effect . You will find that after the first half a lot of teams lose steam and have more tries scored in the 2nd half

The US is getting a chance to play a top tier team, they need to get this kind of experience to improve. It is similar to watching NZ play a game of basket ball against USA. By playing against better tens, the US Eagles wil eventually improve and will probably be among the top teams of the World. But not yet today. If you want to see games between teams of similar level try to see games between New Zealand and South Africa or Australia. Thee are the three best teams in the Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere the top teams should be England, France, Ireland and sometimes Wales. However the level of these European teams changes and their quality, though good, is not as clnnstNt as those of NZ, SA and OZ (Australia is often shortened to "OZ"). Enjoy watching the individual skill and teamwork of the best teams, regardless of who wins.

Don't be so hard on your team, USA is not as experienced as the All Blacks are. Don't get me wrong, the All Blacks are very good on the day, but there are other teams in the world who can match them and even beat them. Teams like Australia, South Africa, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Argentina etc, etc, etc. However, the USA Rugby Team needs more exposure to top level World Rugby teams such as the All Blacks. Also 1st grade Coaches are a necessity to developing your teams in terms of game play and attitude. It would be really great to see the USA Rugby Team win the Rugby World Cup, I for one, all the way from New Zealand would be cheering with you if that happened. 👌😊😁
