I love my wrangler great gun!!!!! Cheap and fun to shoot. Id love to get some wood grips but "In Canada" NOPE Not allowed

I bought the black one awhile back & so far it's been 100%! I put wood grips on it & I got a dark brown leather holster. The wild west is my favorite time period in US history.

Winchester Super X causes stoppages in .22 LR semiautomatics. The casings expand to the point that they will not eject and require a screw driver to dig then out or a rod to hammer them out of the chamber. This happened 4 times in two 10 round magazines fired from a Ruger SR 22.

I think the trigger is stock 4-5 pounds on these. That is more than tolerable.

Its so funny you review these. I bought 2 Heritage Rough Riders this year (6 shot and a 9 shot) I looked at the Ruger Wrangler first; great gun, beautiful operation and the finish is definitely better than the Heritage Rough Rider. However, I was in the market for a plinking pistol to teach my young daughter how to shoot. The Ruger Wrangler has ZERO safety besides a half cock which is just a way of saying, "closer to full cock" (thats what she said). I picked up a couple Heritage Rough Riders because they are all single action pistols, quality of parts probably is irrelevant; 22LR is a light load and people have been firing their Rough Riders for generations with no issues. Ruger is definitely better but when it comes to single actions they all work as well as the operator does.
