With that re-curve and the shape of the handle it looks like a small CS Spartan. I knew you really liked that Spartan , ha ha , I love mine.

Pete, I appreciate your perspective on doing your reviews on what you choose and especially your cut tests. Thanks, Harry

Pete, you are so right about the importance of manufacturers giving knives a name. It's so much easier to associate a name with a knife, than a model number. Also, sometimes the name of a knife - truly resonates with those in the knife community, ala "Honey Badger".

This is the main reason why I subbed your channel you always give a honest review. Me on the other hand I personally kind of liked this knife, But after you pointed out some of the dislikes you have about it I kinda have to agree with you. Again thanks for your review and keep up the great work!!

I've always been a fan of the contoured handles, and this one I like very much. While I've never owned a Ruike knife, they do have a couple I've been eyeing for awhile now. I do REALLY wish knifemakers would grind down or smooth out heavily textured handle materials _underneath_ the pocket clip as a standard practice. Often, I end up doing this myself with a Dremel tool, otherwise it eventually tatters the seam on my jeans. Of course, once I do this it can be a sore spot for selling later or warranties and so forth. I have a suggestion/request, for what it's worth: I thought the quick visual aid of measuring your closed fist was extremely helpful and maybe include it in your future videos? Personally, I've never seen that done on a channel before. While most reviewers will say something along the lines of _"my hand is on the large side, and this fits my grip well"_ that is not totally helpful since their opinion of what a large hand is will vary from the viewer, etc. But for you to show what your literal grip size is in front of the ruler made me think "aha, that is spot-on" as I pulled out a tape measure and did the same. Thorough review as usual, thanks!

A fair and honest review...I like Ruike knives and a have a couple but can't for the life me remember the model number. That said, I too wish they would come up with names for their knives

I love Ruike as a brand, and they continue to produce knives that appeal to me. I don't have this particular one but might have to look at getting it. I also wish they would step up into a super steel (say M390) and make a line of premium knives (like the Real Steel S class) and maybe some Ti frames.....

I have several knives from ruike, real steel and SRM. I think they are all brands under the parent company sanrenmu but I have not confirmed that. All examples I have from those manufacturers currently represent excellent value and I have to restrain myself from buying more(I have many knives).

Bought Ruike P108Sb so I could finally get a 14c28n blade, your review about the P801 nudged me a little, it's a shame about not doing further reviews on those blades sent by them knife companies. Lol you could start doing giveaways...

@@mississippiknifenut4312 you're not wrong. It's an entirely over the top and unrealistic test for a folder, and normally wouldn't really prove anything of great significance. However, since they bothered to add a secondary locking feature to this knife I would be curious to see how much abuse it can actually stand up to. Also, since Pete got this knife for free he probably wouldn't be too bummed if he broke it so what's to lose?

What the heck is thrust-bearings? It has roller-bearings, also called needle - or pin-bearings. And it is a very nice knife for the money
@pbcb561
@pbcb561 5 жыл бұрын
@@richardhansen1628 I'm just curious if you have this knife? You rarely see actual roller bearings on pocket knives so I think they misused the word "roller" to refer to regular ball-type bearings. Honestly the cheap roller bearings in a plastic cage are probably as good as the usual cheap ball bearings but for some reason they aren't used much.
